After the introduction of the GEL-SEKIRAN sneaker earlier in the year, ASICS is now planning to expand this vibrant collection with fresh, sunny shades for summer. The recent reveal features two bold new options: “Vivid Green Gecko” and “Radiant Rose.
The two models sport bold, neon-like color schemes. Each version showcases its primary color prominently, paired with “Pure Silver” highlights and ASICS stripes. The “Green Gecko” edition boasts a vibrant neon green foundation, enhanced by dark pine green accents. On the other hand, the “Bright Rose” model is immersed in an intense rosy red shade, contrasted with striking orange details for a lively and attention-grabbing effect.
The GEL-SEKIRAN sneaker combines characteristics from iconic running shoe designs by ASICS from the 2000s and 2010s, such as the GEL-NIMBUS 13, GEL-CUMULUS 12, and GEL-CUMULUS 17. Elements from these models are reflected in its mesh upper and structured layers, while it adopts the tooling system from the GEL-CUMULUS 17 for its midsole. This sneaker boasts lightweight foams and gel technology inserts, providing exceptional cushioning and stability, resulting in a delightful blend of nostalgic aesthetics and modern comfort.
