Fashion mogul threatens to sell her dog after it destroys $500 luxury item

In a light-hearted jest, style icon Effie Kats playfully hints she might put her dog up for sale due to the pup accidentally damaging one of her designer handbags.

On Wednesday, the 34-year-old posted a video on social media, showcasing the destruction. Her expensive clutch, which costs $495 from The Concept, had a big bite taken out of it.

Clearly unimpressed, Kats joked in the caption: ‘Anyone after a one-year-old Samoyed?’

Effie too posted a picture of her pet, caught gazing at the lens, accompanied by this message: ‘The expression of remorse’.

Effie is a well-known fashion designer based in Melbourne, frequently chosen by celebrities such as Nadia Bartel, Carrie Bickmore, and Rebecca Judd to outfit them.

In November 2023, she walked down the aisle with her finance-broker partner, James Cerolini, in Melbourne.

They got married in a grand wedding at St. Patrick’s Cathedral, followed by a luxurious reception at the State Library Victoria.

She was stunningly beautiful in a luxurious, semi-transparent lace gown by Zuhair Murad, which she acquired following multiple trips to Paris for fittings.)

Later on, Effie switched to another gown designed by the local talent, Alin Le’kal, for the reception.

The event was quite significant, boasting a prestigious guest list of 260 people, among whom were Nadia, Bec, Khanh Ong, Jessie Murphy, and Lana Wilkinson.

Women were asked to wear black or gold to what was described as an elegant affair.  

According to the creator of both Effie Kats and Bayse, the wedding surpassed all the expectations I held.

She shared with The Herald Sun: “Every aspect of it left me utterly amazed. It was fantastic! I couldn’t have managed it without the help of my wedding planner, Valentina.

‘There were small hiccups along the way, but it was the perfect day.’ 

In the year 2021, under lockdown conditions, the loving duo got engaged, providing Effie with ample time for meticulous wedding preparations.

She shared with Confidential that, having been to numerous events herself, she’s eager to design a truly exceptional experience for our attendees.

‘It’s on Stakes Day and Remembrance Day so it’ll add to an already insane schedule.’ 

Initially, I was determined to orchestrate the event on my own without any assistance from a wedding planner. However, after careful consideration, I opted to seek help instead.

Around the time of their engagement, Effie and James purchased a home in Melbourne’s Malvern. 

A three-bedroom house priced at $1.65 million requires renovation by the couple, as it currently stands in a rundown state.

Effie shared with news.com.au that she was seeking a home situated in an ideal spot, possessing a unique charm, and requiring considerable care and attention.

Effie is an adored fashion designer from Australia, whose designs have graced the bodies of prominent figures such as Dannii Minogue, Kelly Rowland, Carrie Bickmore, and DJ Havana Brown.
