Derry Girls star ‘becomes latest to sign up for Celebrity Race Across the World’ after Strictly couple Molly Rainford and Tyler West

It’s been said that a well-known sitcom actor is rumored to be the newest celebrity joining the upcoming season of The Global Chase, a reality show.

As reported by The Sun, Dylan Llewellyn from Derry Girls is now part of the cast participating in the travel adventure on the well-liked BBC program.

At age 32, this actor launched his career by appearing in notable British soap operas such as The Bill, Hollyoaks, and Holby City.

Yet, it was his role as the character James Maguire, a boy and an Englishman, in the popular comedy series “Derry Girls,” which catapulted him to stardom.

For three seasons, Dylan assumed the main character in Jack Rooke’s semi-autobiographical Channel 4 series titled “Big Boys.” In this role, he portrayed a university freshman who was in the closet and mourning the death of his father.

Starting from February 2023, Dylan plays the role of PC Kelby Hartford in the spin-off series titled Beyond Paradise, which is a successor to the popular show Death In Paradise.

He’s rumored to step away from studio set work temporarily for an intense challenge called Race Across the World Special. Accompanying him will be a partner, and they’ll embark on this journey without any mobile phones.

The audio contained a conversation between Rachel Green and Joey Tribbiani, where they revealed that they had discovered Monica Geller and Chandler Bing were secretly dating.

The clip was labeled as: “Did you know? @MollyRainford,” with Tyler appending a red heart symbol and a laughing-out-loud emoji.

Since 2023, Molly has been portraying Anna Knight on the soap opera EastEnders, following a career that began on CBBC where she hosted Friday Download and played the main role in the sci-fi series Nova Jones.

Initially, she gained widespread recognition following her participation in Britain’s Got Talent finale in 2012. More admirers were won over by her stint on Strictly Come Dancing in the year 2022.

Following her unsuccessful attempt at Britain’s Got Talent at age 11, Simon and his recording company supported her education by sponsoring her attendance at the prestigious Sylvia Young Theatre School.
