Love Island cast CONFIRMED! ITV2 announce firebreather, footballer and Maura Higgins lookalike as the first names to be joining the villa

Love Island has revealed the initial trio of participants who will be partaking in the forthcoming season, as anticipation builds for the debut of the fresh villa residents prior to the start of the twelfth series.

On June 9th, the popular dating show airs again on ITV2, promising a familiar blend of love tangles, secret rendezvous in sleeping quarters, and complex separations. This season brings a fire-breather, a football player, and an influencer to the island.

Host Maya Jama is set to return, as she’s back on board with the hit dating show, having joined its team earlier in January 2023.

2021 marks the tenth anniversary of this TV series, and it plans to offer even more unexpected plots and dramatic turns to commemorate the occasion.

Sophie Lee  

Sophie Lee, from Manchester, is one of the first to be confirmed for the show.

At the age of 29, she is set to jet off to the charming Spanish island for the twelfth season of Love Island, having had a near-death experience at the age of 22.

For approximately a year and a half, Sophie had been performing as a fire-breathing artist before a tragic mishap left her with severe facial and chest burns at an unexpected incident in the U.S.

As I graced the stage at a grand event in the Windy City, an unexpected incident occurred: the venue’s air conditioning system malfunctioned, causing it to emit flames that were unintentionally being expelled from my mouth due to some performance effects. Unfortunately, these flames were accidentally directed back towards me, resulting in severe, potentially life-threatening burns.

Sophie, over time, has shifted her focus to modeling, social influence, and has authored a book detailing her journey.

She also works with Katie Piper’s foundation, which supports people living with burns and scars.

Dejon Noel Williams 

A semiprofessional football player named Dejon, who also works as a personal trainer, is heading to an island.

He boasts 11,000 followers on social media thanks in part to his regular shirtless gyn snaps. 

His bio reads: ‘I go beyond the gym—helping you build Strength, Confidence & Discipline for life.’

In 2021, he represented the Grenada national football team.

Megan Moore 

Influencer Megan is another love hopeful who boasts a strong social media following.

Posting regular snaps of her travels the blonde’s next destination is Mallorca.

For the upcoming season, Love Island has recruited a panto star resembling Maura Higgins and self-proclaimed “modern Bridget Jones.”

As a lifestyle connoisseur, I can’t help but reflect on the thrilling conclusion of Love Island: All Stars which took place in February. The title and the substantial £50,000 prize pot were shared by none other than the charismatic Gabby Allen, a Scouser at heart, and her partner Casey O’Gorman. However, since then, they have decided to part ways.

Two weeks ago, the couple decided to end their romantic involvement, whereas Grace Jackson and Luca Bish continue to be together as a couple.
