Beloved comedy star signs up for Celebrity Gogglebox alongside his actress wife

A well-known comedian has agreed to appear on Celebrity Gogglebox, and he’ll be accompanied by his acting spouse.

Actor James Buckley, aged 37, along with his wife Clair, also 37, are set to appear on Channel 4’s television shows following their announcement on Instagram earlier this week.

On their respective accounts, both James and the show’s team excitedly updated followers saying: “Hey everyone, how are you all doing?

‘We are joining the Gogglebox family.

The couple, married since 2012 with two children, is poised to tickle the funny bone of their audience, known for their amusing conversations on their podcast titled “At Home With The Buckleys.

He is now married to model Clair who he shares son Harrison, 11, and nine-year-old Jude with.

The pair run a YouTube show they produce themselves, and it’s believed that James amassed over £1 million from the famous greetings platform Cameo.

James commented: “Should we take a vacation, I find myself feeling restless by the end of the first day since I have all my video games and other belongings at home… For me, a true holiday would consist of spending an entire week at home with no plans or tasks. That’s what I call a perfect getaway!

Previously, the actor from Finders Keepers admitted that if given the opportunity, his primary reason for reprising his role in The Inbetweeners would stem from a need for financial gain.

As your trusted guide in lifestyle matters, I must confess that venturing into what promises to be the most lucrative endeavor at this moment is undeniably tempting.

I have children, a family, and financial responsibilities like bills. Sometimes these aspects need to be considered realistically, even though they might not always seem exciting or interesting – they are simply part of my role as a provider for my family.

As a lifestyle expert reflecting on my thoughts, I can confidently say that when I gather with my three friends, esteemed writers Iain Morris and Damon Beesley, there’s an undeniable spark. If we were to casually discuss the possibility of collaborating once more, I am certain that our project would receive swift approval, or as we put it, be “greenlit” immediately.

In early January, James confessed that he feels somewhat unmotivated about acting, sharing insights into his professional journey.

In the latter part of the 2000s, the actor known for his role as Jay Cartwright in the British sitcom The Inbetweeners on E4, expressed that he doesn’t feel an urgent need to seek out fresh acting opportunities.

During an interview on James Martin’s Saturday Kitchen on ITV, James shared that his preferred activity is spending time at home.

Next year, there will be a movie release featuring me, and it’s titled “Mother’s Pride.” I recently worked on this film with Martin Clunes, which turned out to be quite enjoyable.

I’m not particularly passionate about becoming an actor. In truth, I don’t feel a strong urge towards it. What I love most is being at home, surrounded by the people and things that matter to me.

In addition, James has made an appearance on the television series White Gold and played a leading role in the 2024 West End staging of 2:22 – A Ghost Story.
