The Valley’s Jasmine Goode calls Nick Viall a ‘clout chaser’ after ‘uncomfortable’ moment on The Bachelor

Actress Jasmine Goode, famously known for her role in “The Valley,” has finally responded to Nick Viall’s comment about wanting an ‘apology’ from her following an ‘awkward’ encounter during his stint on “The Bachelor.

In a special conversation for DailyMail.com, Goode, aged 37, expressed her views about the Viall Files podcast host during an exclusive interview.

Previously, Goode had been a participant in The Bachelor, season 21 with Viall in 2017. Later, she became part of the cast for Bravo’s The Valley, which is a spin-off from Vanderpump Rules.

During the course of the season, Goode expressed her annoyance towards Viall for not receiving a one-on-one date by lightly placing her hand on his throat in a joking manner, mimicking a choking gesture.

During a recent episode of their shared podcast, The Viall Files, Viall took a moment to ponder back on that specific instance, alongside his wife Natalie Joy.

During the May 29 episode, Viall expressed his desire for an apology from Jasmine, adding, “I’m still feeling upset.” This episode also included fellow The Valley star, Janet Caperna.

Regarding the jest about Jasmine choking me, I must admit it made me uneasy. To put it another way, there was a rather awkward pause in our conversation, according to Viall’s statement.

Regarding his remarks, Goode explained to DailyMail.com that Viall is more about seeking attention (implied as chasing clout) and emphasized that her apparent attempt to choke him was just a humorous joke.

According to Good, Nick seeks popularity or recognition, often through associations with others. This stems from the fact that Good was one of the first people to appear on Nick’s podcast, and they had a friendly banter about it. Nick found humor in the situation.

2nd point, I didn’t physically interact with him; instead, I made gestures.

3rd point, given the circumstances, since I was a sister-wife, he was my man. You were just dating, and he was your boyfriend.

Apologies for any misunderstanding, I hail from New Jersey. If I seem agitated, it might feel like I want to express my frustration quite intensely at this moment, which is a common way of expressing feelings in my region.

Well, it seems Nick is using the phrase ‘Oh, Jasmine,’ and that doesn’t sit well with me. Frankly, I can’t help but wonder if Nick is trying to seek attention in this way. It just comes across as being quite Nick-ish.

DailyMail.com has reached out to Viall’s reps for comment.

In a different part of his conversation with DailyMail.com, the reality television personality shared that certain actions attributed to co-star Danny Booko during the second season of The Valley, released in April 2021, stirred feelings of discomfort within him, using the term ‘triggered’.

To begin the season, Jason Caperna from The Valley alleged that Booko, who is 41 years old, behaved in an unacceptable manner towards Goode and his fiancée, Melissa Carelli, during a Halloween celebration.

Recently, Caperna shared that not so long ago, Jasmine found herself in an unfortunate circumstance with Danny who was heavily intoxicated and behaved in an unacceptable manner.

Danny walked up to Jasmine, gently placed his hand on her thigh, and said, “Could you fetch me a drink?” implying that he was addressing her as ‘daddy’.

After that, she left to fetch drinks for both her father and others. Meanwhile, he moved towards Jasmine’s partner, Melissa, and gave her rear an unwanted squeeze.

Later on, Booko expressed regret to both Goode and Carelli, confessing at Brittany Cartwright’s white event that his actions were not typical for him.

Nevertheless, Goode shared with her fellow actors that she was affected or disturbed by Booko, following their trip to Santa Barbara, California, where they had visited together. During this trip, Booko had chosen not to attend a group dinner, as he had spent the entire day drinking at a winery.

To DailyMail.com, Goode expressed her desire for a sincere follow-up apology from Booko regarding the Halloween event, as she believed the initial one seemed insincere.

In the midst of everything that unfolded, I received a text from Danny, which subsequently led him to extend an apology to Melissa during the white party – a sequence of events I later detailed.

‘He claims he has done it many times before, but this instance we’re discussing now isn’t about multiple apologies. Instead, it happened during the white party on a specific occasion.’

In this rephrasing, I clarified that the speaker is referring to a specific incident at the white party, rather than multiple instances of him doing something. Additionally, I used “instance” instead of “time,” which is more commonly used in formal writing and may sound less natural in casual conversation. Finally, I replaced “apologies” with “this,” as it’s unclear what exactly he was apologizing for in the original sentence.

Next, we took our seats at the white gathering, and his immediate question to me was, “Are you intentionally targeting me in this moment?” This remark left me quite taken aback.

‘I was like, “Wait, I’m doing this to you?” Like, this is the first time you’re seeing Melissa.

For the first time, you’re expressing your apology directly to her, and here are the words you choose while taking a seat.

Goode continued: ‘Right there, I was like, “This apology is not working for me.”‘

Last week, Booko expressed regret once more about his actions at the Halloween bash. Goode thought this apology was essential for them to continue building on their friendship.

The next time we talk, I believe it’s important for him to grasp the situation: If you desire a friendship with me, please acknowledge the actions you took that affected me and the emotions they stirred within me.

New episodes of The Valley air Tuesdays at 9pm ET on Bravo.
