Jamie Oliver reveals what he really thinks of Gordon Ramsay after their 15-year long feud
Jamie Oliver has revealed what he really thinks of Gordon Ramsay after their 15-year long feud.
The conflict between the chefs ignited in 2009 when Jamie, aged 49 at that time, spoke out against Gordon, then 58, for likening an Australian journalist to a pig. In 2010, Gordon responded by labeling Jamie as ‘just a cook’ and a ‘one-pot wonder’, while Jamie countered by asserting that he was ‘a chef’.
On the other hand, it seems that the ice has been breaking recently, as Jamie openly discusses their relationship in a fresh interview.
In an interview with The Times on Sunday, he clarified that he and Gordon are now genuinely good friends, putting their past playful banter of over a decade in the past.
1) “He’s really thriving right now, achieving feats never before seen in the culinary world. We get along great, here’s to our friendship lasting a lifetime!”

Lately, it’s come to light that Gordon’s wife Tana frequently turns to Jamie’s cookbooks for recipes like lasagna and shepherd’s pie when entertaining guests. Moreover, Gordon has shared a TikTok video featuring one of his competitor’s cookbook.
There might be a hint that their visible disputes were merely a staged “phony feud” for generating additional attention, yet in the past, their hostility has escalated into something more substantial.
On one occasion, I chose not to engage in conversation with Jamie following his apparently harmless comment regarding the number of children we shared. This came shortly after my wife, Tana, experienced a miscarriage.
In that very same year, the Scottish chef publicly berated Jamie using offensive language, such as “fat fk,” during a talk show appearance, ironically while he was attempting to address the UK’s obesity issue by consuming an excessive amount of food himself.
As reported by the Irish Independent, he chose to handle the matter humorously, offering a playful apology during an episode of his show.
Hey Jamie, just wanted to apologize for being tough on you this past week.
> Here’s what I expressed earlier: it wasn’t kind, Jamie. I wouldn’t wish to cause tears. Frankly, the idea of seeing your adorable face with those teary eyes is not something I desire.

Nevertheless, the lighthearted nature of their dispute shifted dramatically later in the year when Gordon swore off any future communication with Jamie, due to a heated argument about the number of relatives they each had.
Or:
Their playful quarrel took an unexpected serious turn towards the end of the year, as Gordon decided he would never talk to Jamie again after they argued passionately about their family sizes.
The pair found themselves entangled in a remarkable dispute, stemming from remarks made by Jamie long months following Gordon’s wife’s unfortunate miscarriage.
Gordon accused Jamie of criticizing him for having four children at the time (now six), which is more than Jamie (five), and demanded an apology from Jamie to Tana as a precondition for reconciliation.
Back in August, when The Sun questioned Jamie about Gordon’s comments on his Nightly Show, he stated: “Since I was already on television before him, perhaps around five years ago, I might have felt offended and responded. But now, I didn’t.
However, we both have multiple children, and I feel uncomfortable criticizing another father on television. It’s just not kind.
Gordon, who experienced a difficult year following his wife Tana’s miscarriage at five months last June, expressed that the remarks felt like an insensitive jab given their challenging circumstances.
He told Radio Times that their long-term ‘feud’ was ‘fun’ until Jamie made the comment.
Jamie replied, “He stated that I have five children, while he has four. It’s not fair to compare or judge another person’s family solely based on the number of children they have.

Gordon then said said he would not talk to Jamie again until he apologises to Tana.
He said: ‘Boys will always fight and butt heads but Tana was mortified, I mean really mortified.’
It seems that the cold front between them has melted in recent times. In an unexpected turn of events this week, Gordon confessed, quite unusually, that his wife Tana appreciates Jamie’s culinary abilities and often employs his cookbooks to prepare their meals.
Elsewhere, the Kitchen Nightmares star expressed his affection for Jamie on TikTok, labeling their past disagreement as something of the past.
