Kesha sparks storm of criticism for ‘vulgar’ Mighty Hoopla performance: ‘She’s desperate for attention’

Kesha stirred up controversy with her explicit show, serving as the main act for the second day of the pop event Mighty Hoopla held in London on Sunday.

In a playful move during her new song “Boy Crazy,” the 38-year-old American singer mimed eating a banana while on her hands and knees, with a male dancer holding it between his thighs suggestively.

The singer was dressed in a red latex catsuit and tall boots, giving the impression of performing an act that resembled oral intimacy on stage for the crowd.

A brief video of an explicit performance by Kesha was posted on Instagram, causing many fans to comment and label her as seeking attention.

They were displeased, exclaiming, “That’s inappropriate”: “She’s clearly seeking attention”: “This is embarrassing”: “This shows a lack of relevance”: “Music should be about art, not explicit content! What on earth!” (or more casually, “What the heck!”)

Previously in the evening, Pixie Lott (aged 34) revealed her pregnancy live on stage, sharing with fans that she and her husband, Oliver Cheshire, are anticipating their second baby.

The married couple are already the proud parents of son Albert, who they welcomed in October 2023.

Though this popular artist has openly expressed her dream of having a large family in the past, she stated to The Sun in 2021, “I am extremely fond of large families, and I personally identify as a very large family person.

I value it greatly, so I eagerly look forward to having one of my own whenever my schedule permits. It’s truly a wonderful possession to hold.

2010 marked their first encounter – Pixie and Oliver, at a fashion event for Select Model’s catwalk show. Their bond ignited almost immediately, leading to the blossoming of a romantic relationship.

The model then popped the question in November 2016 on the steps of St Paul’s Cathedral in London.

In June 2022, the couple officially got married at Ely Cathedral, a ceremony that had been postponed multiple times because of the Covid-19 pandemic.

Previously, Pixie expressed that she chose to delay their wedding instead of proceeding due to the presence of restrictions. She felt that it wouldn’t feel right to go through with it when they couldn’t invite all the people they wished to include, as per the rules.

‘I wanted to wait until we could have the big party – our wedding will be a big party.’

Previously, Pixie spoke enthusiastically about her partnership with Oliver, sharing what kept their love thriving.

‘I think every relationship is different and there are no real rules,’ she told The Sun.

Some of my pals have had numerous romantic relationships while others have remained with their initial partner, much like myself. When things seem fitting, one tends to follow along instinctively.

Despite their busy schedules that frequently keep them working great distances from each other, this couple has come to understand the importance of trusting each other deeply.

She mentioned: ‘Either she’s gone or he’s gone, and those periods can be tough. However, we’ve grown accustomed to it because this has been our situation from the start.’

I fully rely on us, and I believe without this trust, our journey would be significantly harder. It’s comforting to imagine that we’re moving towards marriage, undoubtedly.

At the tender age of 18, Pixie soared to prominence as her first single, “Mama Do (Uh Oh, Uh Oh),” climbed to the top of the charts in 2009.
