2020 marked a significant shift for her career, as her Sky series, I Hate Suzie, received widespread critical acclaim.

As an ardent admirer, I can’t help but rave about the captivating performance by the Swindon-born actress, who masterfully portrayed the troubled life of Suzie Pickles, a former popstar. Her depiction was so profound that it felt like peeking into her real life. The twist came when intimate photos of Suzie, in a private moment with a man not her husband, were leaked online, causing chaos and upheaval in her life, mirroring the turmoil on screen.

According to Rotten Tomatoes, the show garnered a fantastic 95% approval rating. Meanwhile, Billie was recognized with a TV BAFTA nomination for her performance in the initial season as well as its continuation, titled “I Hate Suzie Too.

Although it received positive reviews from critics, it didn’t manage to attract a large enough viewership, leading to the show not being renewed for another season.

Talking to the Mail regarding the series termination, Billie reflected: ‘Simply, it didn’t attract a large enough viewership – such is the nature of things.’

The TV audience seemed to enjoy it since it appears to resonate strongly with their professional sphere. However, we hoped it would reach a broader audience outside of this profession.

In contrast to her previous role, Billie was successful in obtaining a leading part for the 2024 Netflix production titled “Scoop”. This captivating drama chronicles the intricate process behind the 2019 Prince Andrew interview on Newsnight that was later recreated for film.

The show received high acclaim from both audiences and experts, as an impressive 2.75 million homes chose to watch it during its premiere week.

Billie also secured another TV BAFTA nomination for her role as Newsnight producer Sam McAlister. 

In the same year, she appeared in another Netflix show titled “Kaos,” which is a modern retelling of Greek mythology. Her role was that of the prophetess Cassandra.

The eight-episode series also starred Jeff Goldblum and Janet McTeer and received good reviews. 

2024 saw a massive disappointment among viewers as the series didn’t get renewed, making Kaos the most-watched show that was canceled during the latter part of that year.

Despite the conclusion of the show, Billie was immediately plunged into work for the Netflix blockbuster “Wednesday”, leaving her no chance to grieve.

The mother-of-two has landed a role as Isadora Capri, Nevermor Academy’s new head of music. 

A former child prodigy, Isadora is described as being ‘brilliant, intense, and enigmatic.’

As per Netflix, she shows particular affection for Jenna Ortega’s musical talents on Wednesdays, and she guides Emma Myers’ character, another werewolf named Enid Sinclair, in their music.

Wednesday Season 2, Part 1 will drop on August 6, with Part 2 following on September 3.

Following the shocking climax where she was revealed as the new Time Lord, Billie will find herself occupied with filming for Doctor Who.

The actress is recognized by long-term “Doctor Who” enthusiasts due to her past roles as Rose Tyler, who was the Doctor’s companion, and the Moment interface in the series’ 50th Anniversary Special.

In 2023, Ncuti Gatwa took on the role of the 15th Doctor. However, in this past weekend’s episode, it seemed as though Ncuti’s character underwent regeneration and transformed into Billie, with her initial words being: ‘Well, hello there!’

Billie Eilish is set to become the second female actor to assume the position of the Time Lord, following in the footsteps of Jodie Whittaker who played the 13th doctor.

Nevertheless, although her unveiling caused a significant stir on social networking sites, some have swiftly identified a crucial issue concerning her regeneration, mirroring the anticipated departure of Ncuti Gatwa from the series.

In the final credits of X, previously referred to as Twitter, some viewers pointed out that Billie Eilish wasn’t given the credit of ‘The Doctor.’ Instead, her name was listed as ‘Introducing Billie Piper.’

It’s not hidden that I adore this series a lot. I’ve often expressed my desire to revisit the Whoniverse because it holds many cherished memories for me. So, when the chance came up for me to hop aboard that TARDIS once more, it was an offer I simply couldn’t turn down.

It is not known when the show will return and Billie’s next scenes will air.
