Julie Chrisley makes surprising decision about her hair after jailhouse transformation
Julie Chrisley appears uninterested in going back to her iconic platinum-blonde hairstyle after the contentious pardon she received from former President Donald Trump, as indicated by recent reports.
52-year-old television personality, known as the matriarch of reality TV, was recently spotted in Nashville on a Thursday. Her hair, now box-dye brown, showed noticeable grey roots, hinting at her long absence from the public eye. This hiatus was due to her spending almost three years imprisoned for charges related to tax evasion and bank fraud amounting to over $30 million.
Now her son Chase Chrisley, 29, has revealed she does not want to go back to blonde.
According to Entertainment Tonight, Chase said his mother’s hair has become darker. He jokingly suggested, “Let’s go back to platinum blonde, Mom!” However, she replied, “No way!” in response.
‘My mother’s an angel and she’s still a beautiful woman,’ he concluded.

Julie was spotted at a butcher shop in Nashville with dark hair, a noticeable change compared to the platinum locks she had when she was taken into custody over two years back.
Last week, Trump granted full pardons to Julie and Todd Chrisley, a couple in their mid-50s who starred on the USA Network reality show Chrisley Knows Best from 2014 to 2023.
Julie smiled brightly as she stepped out of a car, having been discharged from the Federal Medical Center in Kentucky, following an order by President Donald Trump the previous day.
Ever since Todd and Julie, my beloved idols, completed their prison terms in early 2023, I’ve been eagerly awaiting their comeback. Now, it seems the universe has heard my prayers because they’re set to appear in a Lifetime docuseries! This will be an amazing opportunity for fans like me to reconnect with them during these challenging times and understand their journey better. Can’t wait to tune in!
On Sunday, Chase Chrisley, aged 29, shared on Instagram that his best birthday gift came from President Donald Trump: a pardon for his parents. He posted a picture of them and added a heartfelt caption below.
Chase commented, ‘The best birthday present I could imagine’ beneath a link to a Fox News article detailing the return of the reality TV couple to Nashville after their pardon on May 28th.
In 2022, the Chrisleys were convicted in Atlanta for fraud and tax offenses. Previously, they both had several years remaining in their sentences: Julie was scheduled for release in 2028, while Todd’s release date was set for 2032.
At trial prosecutors detailed a laundry list of offenses that started before they became famous.
According to the prosecution, both the Chrisleys and their former business associate allegedly presented fake documents to secure deceitful bank loans. They then employed these new loans to repay the old ones. The couple stands accused of indulging extravagantly in luxury cars, high-end fashion, real estate investments, and lavish travel.

In my commitment to transparency, I’d like to share that Todd and I found ourselves in a challenging financial situation, leading us to file for bankruptcy. This decision was made after accumulating over $20 million in unpaid loans, as reported by authorities. Simultaneously, during this period, there were allegations about Julie creating falsified financial records for the purpose of leasing a property in Los Angeles. However, it’s important to note that we faced difficulties in keeping up with the rental payments on this property as well.
While appearing on the reality show, they managed a business where their earnings from the series and various other endeavors were deposited. To prevent a debt of nearly $500,000 in unpaid taxes from Todd Chrisley, this company’s corporate accounts were kept under Julie Chrisley’s name, as prosecutors alleged.
According to officials, when requested about account details by the IRS, they shifted ownership to Chrisley’s mother (Todd Chrisley’s mom) in an attempt to conceal additional sources of income.
Prosecutors also accused the couple of not filing or paying taxes for several years
As a lifestyle guide, I’d rephrase it this way: In my professional opinion, during the court proceedings, our legal team contends that an Internal Revenue Service representative provided misleading testimony, and they assert that the prosecution did not have sufficient proof to establish the convictions they sought.
A panel of the 11th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals upheld their convictions last year.
