Love Island fans emotional after one-off 10 year anniversary special sees Caroline Flack briefly back on screens – but slam ITV for failing to include a tribute to late host

Fans of Love Island found themselves moved to emotion upon witnessing Caroline Flack’s reappearance on screens during the one-off anniversary special on Sunday evening.

However, some spectators felt disheartened and let down since no on-air tribute honoring the deceased host was presented during the program’s conclusion.

On February 15, 2020, the television personality took her life at her residence located in North East London. The coroner’s investigation concluded this tragic event as a suicide in August of the same year.

Love Island: A Retrospective Journey through a Decade of Love invites back past contestants for a nostalgic walk through the past ten years of this popular reality TV series.

As a lifestyle expert looking back on last year’s events, I found myself intrigued by the ongoing investigation surrounding Caroline’s case. The Metropolitan Police announced that they were delving deeper, exploring new witness testimonies that could potentially shed light on the officers’ actions, which initially led to the CPS’ decision not to press charges against Caroline.

Christine Flack, her distraught mother, expressed that they, along with their family, are now confronted with ‘significant, unresolved queries’, promising, “We will not rest until we uncover the truth.

At that point, the celebrity’s mother shared with The Mirror, “We persist in seeking the truth. That evening at the police station, something extremely out of the ordinary occurred involving Carrie, yet there’s no adequate explanation recorded as to why.

We’ve recently filed a complaint to force the officer to provide the statement we believe he should have given four years ago. As a family, we are still grappling with unanswered questions of critical importance.
