The Crown star joins Brad Pitt in unexpected Netflix sequel
The Crown star Elizabeth Debicki has joined the sequel to Once Upon a Time in Hollywood.
Last month saw the surprising announcement of a sequel to the film, where Brad Pitt will once again take on the award-winning character he portrayed as Cliff Booth.
As reported by The Hollywood Reporter, actress Debicki and Scott Caan from Hawaii Five-0 are set to feature in a Netflix production, with David Fincher as the director.

In the meantime, filmmaker Quentin Tarantino, known for directing the 2019 film, is back to pen the script for the follow-up movie.
1969 was the backdrop for the story Once Upon a Time in Hollywood, where we found ourselves following the journey of TV actor Rick Dalton and his right-hand man, Cliff, who doubled as both his stuntman and personal assistant. Together, they embarked on an attempt to breathe new life into their waning careers.
Despite the lack of specific storyline information, it’s clear that the new film will unfold following the storyline of the initial movie, focusing primarily on the character of Cliff.
The story began as a screenplay penned by Tarantino, initially intended for him to direct. However, he eventually decided not to pursue it. Later on, Pitt managed to persuade the screenwriter to resume the project, with Fincher taking over the directorial duties instead.
The specific roles for Caan and Debicki haven’t been disclosed yet, however, it’s known that there are two significant female characters in the film. One character is a woman who manages both a bar and a mud wrestling venue, while the other is portrayed as a trophy wife. It’s possible that Debicki might take on one of these roles or could be cast in an entirely different part.
The filming of the movie is set to kick off in California, coming up in July. However, it remains undecided if Leonardo DiCaprio and Margot Robbie will reprise their roles as Rick Dalton and Sharon Tate.
Once Upon a Time in Hollywood is streaming now on Netflix.
