Valve introduces new CS2 Souvenir Highlight Packages for Austin Major playoffs
By acquiring the latest Souvenir Highlight Packages following the Austin Major tournament, you’ll now have a memento connected to CS2 history stored in your collection.
As a passionate enthusiast, I’m thrilled to share that the memento weapons obtained through the CS2 Major Viewer Pass are about to receive an enhancement for the upcoming BLAST Austin Major. Some of these weapons will now come with a “Souvenir Highlight Package,” which includes a delightful charm attached to them!
Experience the most thrilling highlights of the Austin Major playoffs by utilizing your Viewer Pass souvenir items to receive a surprise skin from the game’s map assortment, along with an exclusive memorabilia charm. Keep in mind, though, that you’ll have to wait before redeeming them!
Souvenir weapon charms arrive for Austin Major playoffs — but they won’t be available straight away
Valve’s CS:2 developers unveiled new souvenir charms on May 29, which are part of the Souvenir Highlight Packages. If you purchase the Viewer Pass, you can exchange your tokens (either earned or bought) to redeem souvenir weapons as normal, but those redeemed for playoff matches will be upgraded to the enhanced Souvenir Highlight Packages.
The primary difference between these sets lies in the inclusion of an Austin Major weapon charm with the collector’s weapon. This charm showcases a random moment from a chosen playoff game, spotlighting the player, the significant play, and the opposition team involved.
The Austin Major souvenir token takes the shape of two dog tags embossed with the Austin Major emblem. It serves as a thoughtful memento marking an impressive performance during the climactic stages of the premier CS2 tournament.
This item is bound to catch the attention of gamers as well; who wouldn’t be enticed by a one-versus-five AWP clutch grand final souvenir weapon and its highlight reel featuring m0NESY?
Last week, following the Austin Major update, I stumbled upon some fascinating finds that left me intrigued. In the game files, there were references to a “Highlight Keychain.” These discoveries sparked my imagination, leading me to wonder what exciting new features Valve might be planning for Austin.
During the playoffs, you won’t be able to exchange your tokens for the highlight packages. If you’re eager to get your hands on these souvenir collections, it’s best to wait until Valve fully implements them before exchanging your tokens.
The today’s article mentioned that Valve expects the packages to become redeemable soon after the tournament ends, implying that we don’t have much more time to wait for them.
