Holly Willoughby enjoys lunch with ‘my girls’ Emma Bunton and Christine Lampard as she gushes over their Sex And The City style friendship

Holly Willoughby posted a video of a lunch date with her friends Emma Bunton and Christine Lampard, playfully comparing their close bond to the iconic friendship in the show Sex and the City.

The 45-year-old British TV star seemed incredibly happy, laughing with friends during a lunch date.

Holly, Emma, and Christine were joined by their friends Shiarra Bell and Nicole Appleton, who both seemed to be having a great time.

In the video, Holly looked stylish and put-together in a burgundy shirt, and she wore her blonde hair in loose, flowing waves.

Emma looked fantastic in a pink shirt, and Christine kept it stylish and simple in a white top.

Holly shared a post with a quote inspired by Carrie Bradshaw: ‘They say nothing lasts forever—dreams change and trends fade—but true friendships are timeless.’ She expressed her love for her friends with a heart and sparkle emoji. ❤️✨

Holly announced her new online show following her decision to leave traditional ITV television and focus on digital content.

Oh my gosh, you guys, I just read that Claudia Winkleman – Claudia Winkleman! – is working on a brand new project! Apparently, she’s not just presenting it, she’s actually producing it too! And get this – she’s doing it with her husband Dan’s company, the same brilliant people behind Gladiators and Michael McIntyre’s Big Show! Seriously, everything she touches turns to gold, and I CANNOT wait to see what this is all about!

The new show is reportedly titled ‘Together’. In paperwork filed with the Intellectual Property Office, Holly Willoughby indicated the series will include merchandise like clothing, similar to the lifestyle and magazine-style format of ‘This Morning’, which she hosted for 16 years.

Holly has been sharing fashion and cooking videos on Instagram, likely to build excitement for her new show.

According to an expert, the diverse range of topics strongly supports the central idea of ‘unity’ that she is intentionally promoting.

The title will likely make it feel like viewers are seeing Holly again after a long time.

They told The Sun: ‘She was in our living rooms almost constantly for 16 years’.

Daily Mail have contacted Holly’s representatives for comment.

A friend told the Daily Mail that Holly, who has worked in television for 25 years, is now hoping to create her own project.

Daytime TV is losing popularity, and it’s time for a fresh approach. She’s thrilled about this new and innovative idea, and she’s hopeful it will be a success.

The way people watch TV has really changed. Now, many are getting their entertainment from TikTok and other online platforms.

Holly believes she’s found a promising new path, something with more long-term potential than her previous endeavors.

Holly is so committed to a new chapter in her career that she declined to host ITV’s You Bet! again, even though she’d already presented two special episodes with Stephen Mulhern earlier in 2024. The show has now been cancelled.

Holly had worked on ‘You Bet!’ as one of her first projects after leaving the show ‘This Morning’ in October 2023. This followed a difficult period where she was targeted by Gavin Plumb, a former security guard who was convicted the previous summer of planning to kidnap, assault, and kill her.

This disturbing incident happened shortly after a falling out with her colleague and friend, Phillip Schofield.

In addition to her role on You Bet!, Holly also hosted Dancing On Ice. However, the show is currently on hold and there are no immediate plans to bring it back.

She also presented Bear Hunt, which was cancelled by Netflix after just one season.

I’ve heard from a good source that while she still likes ITV and things are amicable, she’s definitely moved on from doing shows with them and isn’t planning a return anytime soon. It seems she’s closed that chapter for now.

She was asked to host ‘You Bet,’ but she turned it down. She’s also had other chances to return to television, potentially continuing her career after the difficult experience she had with Gavin Plumb.

Holly had an idea, and she felt she needed to try it immediately. She knew she’d always wonder ‘what if’ if she didn’t. It was a gamble, but she was ready for something different.

She’s not just going to be on camera – she’ll also be directing, which is fantastic news!
