VALORANT Masters Toronto format
hey there! just wanted to share some exciting news about Masters Toronto – it’s gonna have a total of 12 teams this time around, that’s double the number we had at previous events. Instead of two reps per gaming scene region, we’ll now have three teams from each zone battling it out for the trophy. can’t wait to see the competition heat up!
In Toronto, Masters competition is split into two parts: the Swiss portion and the Playoffs. Champions of each region receive a pass straight to the Playoffs, whereas others must initiate their quest in the Swiss Stage.
Swiss Stage (June 7 – 11)
At the Swiss Stage, we’ll see the runner-up and third-place teams from each of the four zones competing. Each match consists of three games, and a team must win two out of these three games to progress to the Playoffs. Conversely, losing two matches means elimination from the competition.

This remains largely similar to previous iterations of Masters.
Playoff Stage (June 13 – 22)
As a die-hard VALORANT fan, I can’t wait to witness more intense matches! Four squads that made it through the Swiss Stage are about to face off against the four regional champions who secured their spot directly. It’s going to be an epic showdown!

In this tournament, eight teams will advance to a competition format where they can lose twice (double elimination). Most matches in the competition, except for the Lower Bracket Final and the Grand Final, are decided by three games each (best-of-three). However, the Lower Bracket Final and the Grand Final are five-game series instead (best-of-five).
We’ll have a total of 14 playoff games instead of just 5 in Bangkok! Additionally, there will be a notable upgrade with 8 game days, compared to the previous 3 days during the Masters tournament.
