On May 28, 2025, the popular game Call of Duty Mobile will see the release of its Season 5, titled Primal Reckoning. As a result, the Secret Caches within the game are due for a significant overhaul. This update brings in a new type of shard system and fresh rewards to keep players engaged. If you’re curious about what modifications are being made, I’ll provide an overview of the changes.

The AK47 – ICB Rifle will be the new Legendary Secret Cache reward in COD Mobile

The hidden storages will receive an update a day after, specifically on May 29th, 2025. One notable addition is the arrival of Universal Shards. If you possess specific weapons already, any excess shards for them will now be transformed into these new shards rather than tokens.

These Universal Fragments are categorized into three classes: Mythic, Major Legendary, and Minor Legendary. Each type allows you to obtain varying levels of weapon rarity. Additionally, after the recent update, you can now easily convert excess shards with a simple tap in your inventory.

As a gamer, I’m thrilled about the fresh addition to my arsenal – the AK47 – ICB Rifle! It’s now taking over as the legendary prize from Secret Caches, replacing the Stun Baton – Surge Baton fragments. Plus, Universal Shards will be dropping into my in-game mail based on how many extra shards I had prior to the update. Exciting times ahead!

Furthermore, you’ll find that Challenge Tokens now come with an expiration date. Be mindful of this and ensure they are redeemed before they become invalid. Please note that the reward distribution process might take between 5 to 7 business days, so don’t forget to check your email regularly.
