ITV axes Martin Clunes’ gritty countryside drama after one series

Martin Clunes‘ ITV drama Out There has been cancelled after one just one series.

In a different storyline, the actor known from ‘Doc Martin’ was portrayed as a farmer who endeavored to keep his son away from criminal drug networks that had infiltrated their countryside community.

In addition to Clunes, the cast included Louis Ashbourne Serkis (Andy Serkis’ son), Mark Lewis Jones, and Natalia Kostrzewa.

Clunes mentioned that there appears to be no interest from ITV for a second series, as our initial enthusiasm seemed to not draw in the viewer numbers they desired, sadly.

ITV officially announced the termination of “Out There,” expressing their pride in the show and gratitude towards Martin and the production crew for producing an outstanding series.

As a devoted gamer, I can’t help but eagerly anticipate the comeback of my favorite game series. I truly regret that we didn’t manage to engage a large enough player base to ensure its continuation.

According to Digital Spy’s assessment, the production titled “Out There” received a rating of three stars. They commended the acting skills displayed by both Clunes and Serkis in their roles.

Clunes is set to appear in the upcoming comedy-drama titled “Mother’s Pride,” which will feature James Buckley from “The Inbetweeners.

The movie narrates the tale of a struggling tavern, a fragmented neighborhood, and a mourning family whose lives undergo transformation through the process of crafting genuine beer and participating in the Great British Beer Contest.

After more than two years since Clunes left “Doc Martin”, the cherished British show is now being given an American reboot.

Just a few days ago, Deadline announced that Fox has officially commissioned a complete series for the show titled “Best Medicine,” which is said to be inspired by the British comedy-drama of the same name.

Josh Charles from “The Good Wife” will portray Dr. Martin Best, who has decided to forgo his thriving practice in Boston and instead work as a general practitioner in a quaint coastal town.
