In a conversation with Vogue Italia, Nicki expressed that she has encountered countless criticisms regarding her. There have been numerous instances where she contemplated leaving the industry.

Nicki has a four-year-old son, whom she hasn’t revealed his name, with her spouse, Kenneth ‘Zoo’ Petty.

The star explained that she postponed having a child to focus on her profession and support her relatives financially.

As a passionate devotee, I’ve chosen to postpone my journey into parenthood. Many influential figures in the field, particularly those who are senior to me, have never ventured into parenthood. Some express no regrets, while others harbor deep ones. Nonetheless, I find myself following suit.

I missed attending every Thanksgiving, Christmas, and birthday celebration due to work obligations that were necessary for supporting my family. I believe the cost was a less conventional lifestyle.

Nowadays, circumstances have changed in such a way that I am able to provide my son with opportunities and possessions that I never enjoyed myself. However, there are certain experiences and values I want him to acquire, which I still need to find a way to instill in him.

‘When we go out, for example, I have to worry that someone will take his picture.’

Nicki mentioned the strict upbringing she experienced during her childhood, stating: “I was among those children who could discern if an adult lacked intelligence.

‘The lack of discipline around me made me want to be the opposite. And I’m not always like that.

I firmly believe that hard work is the key to achieving one’s goals. My life has been a constant battle, starting from scratch with very little, but my desire to succeed was stronger than anyone else’s.

Nicki was ambitious from a young age and would tell people she would one day become a star.

She mentioned that when her friends would go out for drinking, smoking marijuana, or clubbing, she would join them occasionally, but not every time. People often commented on how she seemed to have a natural sense of well-being.

I was characterized by a blend of happiness and determination. I would often express to others, “I’m going to achieve this.” It felt as if I had already foreseen my success.
