Sophie Kasaei’s Fertility Update: Hope at Last
On Monday, Sophie Kasaei posted a cheerful message about her progress in fertility on Instagram, following her disclosure of the difficulties she and her partner Jordan Brook have faced in starting a family.
35-year-old cast member of Geordie Shore, who has been open about her struggle with endometriosis and her journey towards fertility, was accompanied by her partner Jordan (age 29). Together, they posted an update for their fans, disclosing that they’ve finally received some long-awaited answers in their situation.
In the latest extended video, Sophie shared: “Jordan and I have been eagerly anticipating creating this video as we wanted to know the progress of our fertility journey and were hoping to receive updates. And indeed, we’ve been expecting some developments.
Here’s my attempt: “I simply can’t contain my excitement anymore! It’s high time I spill the beans and share with you the incredible details that have been unfolding. The suspense has become unbearable, and I just can’t wait any longer!
Recently, around two months back, we received some initial information. This revelation was that I had an infection known as Ureaplasma.

As per Medical News Today, Ureaplasma is often present in the urinary or reproductive system. Typically, it doesn’t trigger noticeable symptoms, but under certain circumstances, it might play a role in infections, issues with fertility, or complications during pregnancy.
Sophie went on to say, “However, I was unaware that Ureaplasma is a type of bacteria that can lead to infertility. I had no knowledge about it, and in the UK, they don’t usually conduct tests for this.
Furthermore, the testing we’ve been undergoing resembles comprehensive immunology tests, as it checks for a wide array of factors.
Additionally, Ureaplasma could potentially lead to significant infertility issues. At this point, I found myself a tad concerned, questioning what options were available for elimination. Remarkably, it turned out to be a two-week regimen of antibiotics that did the trick.
Jordan chimed in, saying: ‘No sex for two weeks and antibiotics for two weeks.’
Sophie elaborated: “After eliminating Ureaplasma, we decided to move forward with more tests. So, we thought, ‘Alright, it’s time to have some blood work done.’
‘Prior to all this, Jordan’s had sperm done and I’ve had everything else done and we’re both fine.’
Jordan stated: “We had reached a point with an adequate egg count, a sufficient sperm count, and Ureaplasma has been eliminated.

Here’s where we stand, but it’s clear that some things weren’t resolved yet. There were questions left unanswered, and we required further clarification.
Or,
We’ve reached this point, but there were still issues that remained unclear. We had questions that needed answers, and we needed more information to move forward.
Sophie shared that after Jordan, she had her own blood tests done at Superdrug in the UK. These private tests cost approximately 80 British pounds each time for her.
Jordan mentioned: “However, if you recall our earlier video, there was a package we received from Fertilysis. We also received another package to send our blood samples now, one for both of us. Both were clearly labeled; my vials were marked as Jordan, while Sophie’s were marked as Sophie.
After gathering all necessary steps from the provided instructions, we packed everything away the same day, ready for shipping the following day.
Sophie went on to say: “The outcomes became available after around seven to ten days, and they simply contacted us over the phone. At that moment, I happened to be away, but Jordan and I had a productive conversation on the phone. Jordan is more knowledgeable about this topic due to his extensive note-taking.
‘So the bloods came back and we finally got more answers, and it makes sense.’
Jordan explained that Sophie’s immune system is unusually robust, which is beneficial in preventing illness, but unfortunately, it also tends to attack his sperm cells.
The strength is excessive, which causes premature destruction of your sperms before they can form an embryo. Since your sperms are perceived as a foreign entity by Sophie’s immune system, it attacks them.
He continued: ‘So, we’ve been offered lit therapy.’
Sophie clarified that in essence, they extract Jordan’s blood cells and use them to create a vaccine. This vaccine is then administered to her, allowing her immune system to recognize and tolerate Jordan’s cells as if they were her own.

In simpler terms, Jordan shared that his blood and white blood cells were used at the clinic to create a vaccine. This vaccine is then given to Soph with the hope of preventing her immune system from attacking Soph’s sperm.
1) It treats it as if it belongs to itself, and there are a couple more points that we’ll discuss further with the doctor at a later time.
Sophie said, “That’s the update,” while Jordan added, “Things seem to be improving; they’re looking more optimistic than they have in a while.
He added: ‘This is the first time that we’ve both felt positive for a long time.’
Alongside the new video update, Sophie captioned the post: ‘✨ FERTILITY UPDATE PART 1✨
After a long, arduous journey filled with anxiety and concerns, we’ve finally received answers about our fertility issues – a wait spanning more than two years!
Based on some positive experiences shared by several women, I decided to try out Fertilysis as well. It seems to have worked wonders for them, so I’m hopeful it will do the same for me!
It turned out initially that I was carrying the bacterium Ureaplasma, known to cause infertility – it’s puzzling to me why I wasn’t tested for this in the UK before.
However, after taking a course of antibiotics, the issue resolved. Subsequently, we had our blood samples taken for further examination of our immune system, which provided us with additional insights!

It turns out that we share a degree of similarity with the DQ alpha gene, which may impact the implantation process. However, there’s also good news: this condition can potentially be addressed and managed!
I’m so glad I learned about @fertilysis earlier, but unfortunately that wasn’t the case. Now, though, I have confidence that everything will turn out wonderfully for us. After facing such difficulties for several years, I can finally sense a glimmer of hope and optimism in sight.
She finished her post saying, “Now I’m heading to Athens for the next round of treatments (prayer emoji). Thank you so much, @fertilysis! X
As stated on Fertilysis’s website, they focus on unraveling the mysteries behind unexplained infertility and repeated miscarriages, offering solutions when conventional methods fall short.
Last year, Sophie candidly spoke about her fertility struggles.
The television personality openly shared that her experience with fertility hasn’t been straightforward, since she had initially anticipated becoming pregnant effortlessly.
In an interview with Heat magazine, she shared: “We’ve been attempting for several months. I assumed getting pregnant would be easy, but it turns out it’s much more challenging than most people believe.
Sophie, who began dating the TOWIE star in November 2022, commented: “It isn’t always a breeze, there are challenging times for sure, but we’ll make it eventually. Currently, however, Jordan is finding enjoyment in the process.
‘He’s having a field day because I’m fulfilling all of his needs and wants!’

Sophie has often been very transparent about her struggle with endometriosis, resulting in her undergoing specific fertility examinations.
In 2020, the star shared with her audience that she had been diagnosed with a challenging health issue, which she described as extremely painful.
Endometriosis refers to a health issue where tissue similar to the lining of the womb grows elsewhere in the body, typically causing discomfort in the pelvis area and often linked to menstrual cycles.
She likened her terrible ordeal to someone being stabbed in their ovaries when she described it to her audience.
I feel compelled to speak up for those who experience endometriosis pain – it can be overwhelming! Just moments ago, I was okay, but now I find myself tearing up again.
After wrapping up my physical training session, I was compelled to depart due to an unpleasant sensation that struck me on my commute home. To be quite honest, I find it challenging to articulate the nature of that discomfort.
The discomfort is unbearable, as if someone is repeatedly jabbing a sharp instrument into your reproductive organs.
