In an exclusive conversation with the Daily Mail, the older adoptive father of David Geffen’s younger, estranged spouse expresses his surprise upon discovering that his son had entered into a same-sex marriage. He further shares his beliefs as to why he felt their union would not be sustainable.
As a lifestyle enthusiast, I myself was taken aback when I read about the surprising marriage between the 82-year-old media titan and my own son, David Armstrong, aged 32, last week, along with the news of their upcoming separation.
He mentioned that he doesn’t have information about Armstrong’s current location or the circumstances surrounding him, as he only found out about it when one of his sons watched it on television.
‘We kinda didn’t even know about the marriage. But 50 years is a big age gap.
‘I don’t know how you expect it to work out. My soon-to-be former son-in-law is older than me.’
Instead of directly contacting him, the father shared an unusual circumstance where he can only reach his son through Geffen’s business secretary. He found this situation peculiar and mentioned that their last conversation happened several months back, without disclosing any information about their separation.
For the first time, The Daily Mail sheds light on the secretive past of Geffen’s former partner, revealing intriguing details and exclusive images from an unconventional childhood in Imlay City, Michigan. This upbringing took place within a family of 16 children, raised over the years in a four-bedroom home by Armstrong and his wife Wendy.
Previously, a woman who was once in a relationship with the model and go-go dancer, Donovan Michaels, disclosed that he had frequently expressed a desire to be wealthy and well-known. Furthermore, she raised questions about his reasons for marrying Geffen, suggesting that Donovan had a notable preference for women.
Anonymously, the woman commended Geffen for choosing to divorce Armstrong instead of bequeathing his $8.7 billion wealth to him. She further asserted that her former partner still owes her a substantial amount of money from their past relationship.
It appears that Geffen and Armstrong didn’t have a prenuptial agreement when they got married in 2023, during a private wedding held in Beverly Hills, California.
After retiring 15 years ago, it appears that Geffen’s current income primarily comes from investments in stocks and other assets, which are classified as his own separate property.

He asserted that the sole means of reaching his son was via Geffen’s business secretary, and anything that appeared to be channeled through this intermediary would eventually receive a response from David.
According to him, his older sisters remain connected, but he has grown more reserved over the past few months. He speculates that whatever circumstances were unfolding might be the cause of his silence.
It appears that while some of Neil Armstrong’s siblings initially expressed happiness for him, it seems their relationship did not last due to a significant age gap, a circumstance that might have made me hesitant at first.
It seems puzzling to me why someone your age would be attracted to someone significantly older, as it appears there aren’t many shared experiences or common interests from your respective childhoods.

Right now, we’re mostly watching and waiting to see if he decides to discuss the divorce himself.
He mentioned that it was somewhat unexpected when his son got married to a man. He further noted that, while there hadn’t been any serious female partners in his immediate vicinity, his son didn’t appear to have an inclination towards male companionship either.
Armstrong’s career as both a model and performer came as a surprise to his father, who found it hard to believe that the reserved, introverted young man he knew would take on such extroverted roles.
Initially, Patrick and his spouse only had two children biologically. At a later point, they felt compelled to make a difference and expanded their family by fostering and adopting a total of 14 additional kids, among whom was David.
He mentioned that at around four or five years of age, they legally took him in as parents, following his removal from the custody of his biological mother, whom he alleges was involved with criminal street gangs.
At different times, not every one of the sixteen children resided in the same household, as Armstrong shared living space with some of his elder siblings, and it appears that for the majority of the time, it might have been Joe. Sadly, Joe has passed away a few years back, according to Armstrong’s statement.

She asserts that Armstrong still has yet to reimburse her thousands of dollars accumulated during their partnership, and she alleges that he played with her feelings by vowing to return the money but ultimately not following through on his promise.
The young lady mentions that she was involved with Armstrong for a whole year, but they drifted apart after she relocated.
She mentioned that their relationship wasn’t perfect and had challenging or difficult periods for both parties.
She suspected, without concrete evidence, that he might be involved with others while they were in a relationship. However, since she was quite young at the time, she admits it was challenging for her to let go of him.

In this case, I can only share my personal perspective: ‘I must admit, I’m not privy to his private life. People have always found him attractive and hinted at his potential orientation, but he has consistently denied these speculations.’
It appeared he had a powerful inclination towards females. When this fact emerged, I responded with an understanding nod, essentially saying, ‘I see.’
I’m unsure about the reasons, but it seems like he began this action primarily for financial gain. Now, regarding his sexual orientation, he may identify as bisexual, but he doesn’t seem to fully embrace being gay.
