Duncan Bannatyne’s Heartwarming Journey: Witnessing Life-Changing Surgeries in Morocco!
This week, Duncan Bannatyne and his wife Nigora embarked on a journey to Morocco alongside the charitable organization, Operation Smile, to observe transformative surgeries.
Since 2013, the enterprising Scotsman has stood as both patron and advocate for Operation Smile, an organization dedicated to aiding children afflicted by cleft palates globally by performing free surgical procedures worldwide.
As a devoted adherent, I’ve just returned from an incredible journey to Casablanca, tagging along with Duncan, as we represented our charity to witness transformative surgeries and connect with the families behind these life-altering procedures – a majority being tender infants and toddlers. This was all part of our Women in Medicine initiative.
Previously, a former star of Shark Tank (an analogous TV show) has traveled to The Philippines, Mexico, Vietnam, and Ghana on behalf of the charity.
Duncan posted a picture showing him dressed in a surgical outfit (gown and cap) while presenting baby Zyad, who was getting ready for a procedure to correct a cleft palate.

Later on, he posted another picture of Zyad following his surgery, accompanied by this message: “Zyad is progressing nicely post-surgery, such a good-looking lad.
On their first day in Morocco, Nigora posted about her trip: ‘Day One: Meeting Day with @opsmileuk and @operationsmilemorocco_official, along with Gabby Whitehorn, Tom Bannatyne, and Duncan Bannatyne. It was a heartwarming and impactful beginning, encountering the remarkable children and families brimming with optimism. ✨’
This version aims to keep the original sentiment while making it more conversational and easier to read for an average reader.
Last year at the Pride of Britain Awards, I was utterly astounded by Duncan’s selfless act of kindness. He generously contributed a significant amount to a heartwarming fundraiser for a truly inspiring child.
During its airing in November, the ceremony left many viewers emotional when they witnessed eight-year-old Florence Bark receiving the Child of Courage award.
This remarkably courageous young girl has fought against acute myeloid leukemia since her early years, and now she’s anxiously awaiting a lung transplant.
However, amidst battling her personal health struggles, Florrie (formerly known as Florence) has remarkably established a charity for children with cancer named “Be More Fab.
They’ve created a hidden fundraising page on GoFundMe to collect donations for the charity. You can access it using this link.
75-year-old entrepreneur Duncan was deeply moved by Florrie’s story during the Pride of Britain Awards on Monday and felt compelled to take action.

On Thursday, the generous businessman made a substantial donation of £30,000 to Florrie’s fund, making it the largest contribution among the approximately £75,000 that has been collected thus far.
In February, the proprietor of the Bannatyne health club joyfully marked his 75th birthday by hosting an extravagant celebration. As the evening unfolded, he shared the dance floor with his cherished spouse, Nigora.
On that notable occasion, the renowned businessperson appreciated the day, while Nigora captured the festivities on her Instagram account, posting an impressive photo of the pair posing side by side.
On their extravagant excursion, the previous dental office receptionist filmed herself alongside Duncan, capturing the moments on video.
A photograph was taken, capturing Nigora smiling while posing within a luxurious setting alongside her spouse.

The woman hailing from Uzbekistan radiated style, adorned entirely in Versace, creating quite a buzz in a trendy gold-patterned ensemble straight from their design studio.
In another video, a Dragon’s Den celebrity was spotted engaging with a friend, animatedly conversing, while a live band performed in the background.
Duncan seemed cheerful and showed signs of having completely healed from his recent injury, as evidenced by his use of a cane and wearing a knee support.
Immediately following New Year’s festivities, the philanthropist was spotted leaving St Barts’ Gustaf III Airport, having enjoyed the holiday season there with his cherished spouse.
