Halfbrick Studios has unveiled plans for a closed beta testing (CBT) of their upcoming high-speed, roguelike shooter title, “Guncrypt”, on both Android and iOS devices. This exclusive beta phase is only available to registered members from their community, and recruitment is currently ongoing. The exact dates for playing the game will be revealed shortly, but eager players can already give it a try!
Get ready to dive into dungeon runs and teleport through walls in Guncrypt
Guncrypt is an exhilarating blend of roguelike shooting action and card-based strategy, tailored specifically for touchscreens. As you progress, you’ll find yourself zipping through walls, annihilating adversaries, and gathering ammunition to enhance your abilities, unleashing pandemonium!
I appreciate its pirate-style design, merging seamlessly with an old-school arcade ambiance, evoking memories of my past gaming experiences. I’m particularly eager to delve into the dungeons and zip around from place to place using intuitive tap controls – it feels like playing Archero 2 all over again, a game I found quite entertaining.
Beyond battles, you can engage in quests, unearth hidden treasures, and delve into the enigma surrounding the town’s peculiar curse. Additionally, you’ll come across mystical Tarot Cards that bestow lasting enhancements upon discovery. Given its ongoing development, I think it’s premature to make a final assessment; let us wait for further updates.
How to apply for the upcoming closed beta test for Guncrypt
Guncrypt will begin a closed beta testing phase (CBT) on both Android and iOS devices in the near future. The goal of this testing is to identify “What malfunctioned? What surprised you? What made you laugh?” Recruitment for this test has officially started, and the dates for participation will be announced soon.
To participate in the playtests, you must first join the Halfbrick+ Community. The team will reach out to you through the community to coordinate these sessions. The version you’ll be playing is an early, abridged one of the game. You can download and start playing it now from the Google Play Store or TestFlight for iOS devices.
