Matt Lucas Opens Up About Heartbreaking Regret of Not Becoming a Father

Matt Lucas has expressed sorrow for not having children following his divorce from his former spouse, the late Kevin McGee.

51-year-old comedian from Little Britain got hitched with a TV producer named Kevin in 2006 following four years of companionship. However, they parted ways in 2008.

Tragically, just one year later, Kevin took his own life aged just 32 in October 2009.

On his “Making A Scene” podcast this week, Matt expressed that, given the continuation of his two-year marriage, he likely would have become a father.

Matt confessed with sadness that he’d prefer to have a child right now, should he be in a stable, long-term partnership.

To David Walliams, he expressed that if given the chance, he might have enjoyed being a father. Despite his current age of 51, there’s still time for him to become one. By the way, how old was Elton John when he became a parent?

‘If things had worked out differently in my marriage then probably we might have done.

I don’t think I could handle it alone, raising children seems like it would be best done with a partner.

Occasionally, I ponder on it. For me, contemplating on such thoughts is an integral aspect of having a stable, content, and desired relationship.

From my perspective as a lifestyle enthusiast, I don’t openly discuss my romantic life, so it remains a mystery whether I’m currently involved with someone new or not.

In the previous year, it seemed like he was back in the dating scene, as his presence was noticed on the dating application Tinder, confirmed by a verified account.

At the given point, it was made known that Matt chose to give online dating a shot using an application where people swipe right to indicate someone who seems like a possible match.

Matt, with a bright smile captured in a selfie, expressed that he wasn’t quite certain yet about the type of relationship he was seeking.

In another setting, Matt and David hinted at a grand comeback for Little Britain during a live performance on Lorraine earlier in the year.

The creators and stars of the BBC comedy series recently discussed their new podcast with Lorraine Kelly, aged 65, during an appearance on the ITV program.

On the morning talk show, Lorraine was eagerly hoping for an update about a potential comeback, as the program had been removed from BBC iPlayer, Netflix, and BritBox back in June 2020.

David said: ‘Would you like to see it? We’ll do it especially for you.’

Matt added: ‘If we were to do it again, maybe on stage, or something like that.

‘We did a tour 20 years ago, it was great fun, I think that would be a good way to do it again.’

Previously during the conversation, Lorraine shared with the celebrities: “Little Britain has experienced a renewed vitality on TikTok. A fresh group of people are discovering and appreciating it.

David responded: “Indeed, my child is eleven years old now. It seems that everyone in his school is buzzing about it. As you pointed out, many are posting about it on TikTok.

As a lifestyle enthusiast, I find myself captivated by this fresh wave of discovery. I firmly believe that these digital platforms are simply remarkable, offering bite-sized glimpses into the world in just a minute or two.

Lorraine mentioned, “Parts of it could land you in trouble today, but many parts remain just as amusing as they’ve always been. If you prefer not to watch it, simply avoid doing so.

David admitted, “It seems that each day, there’s a prediction of more Little Britain.

‘Every day someone comes up to me in the street.’

In today’s times, Lorraine appeared delightfully ecstatic when she exclaimed, ‘Given the circumstances, laughter is precisely what we require more of!’
