Katie Price Celebrates 23rd Birthday of Son Harvey with Heartfelt Tribute

Katie Price shared a loving tribute to her eldest son Harvey to mark his 23rd birthday on Tuesday.

On the eve of his birthday, the ex-glamour model (aged 47) shared a collection of old photos on Instagram, reminiscing and celebrating the special day with Harvey.

She posted a selfie with Harvey, both grinning, taken at the beach, along with another photo showing her son planting a kiss on her cheek. (Alternatively, she uploaded a smiling selfie of herself and Harvey on the beach, as well as a picture depicting her son giving her a kiss on the cheek.)

In the caption, she expressed her endless affection for her son and was thrilled about celebrating Harvey’s special day together.

On May 27, 2002, Katie warmly greeted Harvey in the company of her former partner, Dwight Yorke. Notably, she is a mother to four other children from two previous relationships as well.

Katie has two children, Junior (aged 19) and Princess (aged 17), whom she had with her former spouse Peter Andre. Additionally, she is also a parent to Jett (aged 11) and Bunny (aged 10), who were born during her relationship with Kieran Hayler.

Harvey is visually impaired, on the autism spectrum, diagnosed with septo-optic dysplasia, has a learning difficulty, and is among the 2,000 individuals in the United Kingdom living with Prader-Willi Syndrome, a hereditary health condition.

Katie faced numerous challenges in finding a college for Harvey due to his previous attendance at an expensive school that she had to remove him from because of budget reductions and her personal financial struggles (bankruptcy).

Initially, Katie faced an additional challenge in February as Harvey had been dismissed from a care home due to his challenging behavior. However, she managed to readmit him to college just recently.

Katie expressed her sorrow, detailing that Harvey refused to return, and she wishes to transfer him to a nearby Sussex branch once she departs from her Muddy Manor, hoping for proximity to her new family dwelling.

Last month when Katie relocated, she used Snapchat to share her challenging and emotional experience that included a distressed Harvey expressing frustration in the car.

She shared with her audience: “That was incredibly challenging and left me feeling quite distressed. It seemed Harvey strongly resisted the idea of returning to school.

I’m astonished that I still have a vehicle remaining. He had every intention of taking my car. It’s truly disheartening when your child refuses to attend college and instead prefers spending all their time with you. (Informal)

I’m eagerly anticipating his return home close by, but unfortunately, his space isn’t quite ready just yet – possibly in May. It’s truly disappointing.

Since 2021, Harvey has resided at the specialized institution, National Star. However, due to budget reductions and Katie’s financial struggles, he had to be removed from there last year.

Last year on her “The Katie Price Show” podcast, Katie expressed that she was going through a difficult time, saying: “Things are really tough for me right now.

I had hoped he would continue his studies at college for another year or secure a placement instead, but unfortunately, the local authorities have yet to approve these arrangements.

“For three months, starting now, I must locate a new place by July. Since Harvey is the kind of person who requires a smooth transition, it’s important to take things slowly during this move.

Last year in July, West Sussex County Council halted Harvey’s college funding, which she had initially intended to prolong his college stay for an additional year.

The local authorities declined to finance her son’s care, as they deemed him not to have any healthcare problems. However, the assessment found that he primarily required social support.

Last year, when Katie faced bankruptcy due to an outstanding tax debt exceeding £750,000, she’s been striving to obtain financing to ensure the continuity of Harvey’s stay at National Star.

It’s great news that Harvey managed to go back to school, and in December, Katie posted a photo of her son happily displaying the letter from Santa, showcasing his college achievements.

In February, Katie shared that she had attempted to transfer Harvey to a new care facility, but unfortunately, he was no longer eligible due to a change in management. They concluded that they were unable to meet Harvey’s specific requirements.

Despite encountering numerous challenges, Katie successfully managed to get Harvey back to college last month and is looking forward to helping him transition to a campus near her family’s home in West Sussex within a few weeks.

Katie served as Harvey’s main caretaker up until he reached the age of 19, and in the year 2021, she recorded him moving to National Star College, which was featured in the BBC documentary titled “Katie Price: Harvey and Me”.
