Sadie Robertson Shares Heartfelt Last Words from Grandfather Phil Before His Passing

As a devoted admirer, I’d like to share a powerful message that my dearly departed grandfather, Phil Robertson, sent me before he passed away at the age of 79, following a heart-wrenching fight against Alzheimer’s disease during his last few months.

On Sunday, Sadie shared a message with her 5.2 million Instagram followers that touched upon her religious beliefs and one of her last conversations with her cherished granddad.

Originating from Monroe, Louisiana, the 27-year-old podcaster behind the show “WHOA, That’s Good,” reminisced about their conversation, sharing that before parting, he told her, “Keep going strong! So be it!

Previously, Sadie shared a Bible passage that goes, ‘So if anyone is in Christ, there’s a fresh start! It’s as though they were let go of the past. Look what’s ahead! – 2 Corinthians 5:17 (CEB)’.

In a heartfelt moment with dear old man Papaw Phil today, my mind couldn’t help but wander back to these profound words… He lived it – transcending death and resurrecting through the miraculous power of our Lord and Savior, Christ!

On a Facebook post shared on Sunday, the family of the former reality TV personality who was once a skilled hunter broke the heartbreaking news, causing many fans to mourn.

On this special day, I’m overjoyed to share that my treasured patriarch, Phil Robertson – our dad, husband, and grandpa – has found peace with the Almighty. This is the heartfelt message from Korie Robertson, shared on Facebook yesterday.

She expressed gratitude towards those who offered prayers during Phil’s struggle with Alzheimer’s disease in his last few months.

She remembered him courageously informing his dear ones that he wasn’t afraid of dying, viewing it as a return to the realm of God.

Many stunned spectators expressed their sympathy through messages, one commenting: “In truth, Phil felt like our beloved grandfather of America.” Another joined in: “He managed to bring joy and happiness to us all!

Approximately a year ago, it was confirmed that Robertson was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s disease, as reported by his family on their podcast, “Unashamed with the Robertson Family.

Previously, Phil Robertsson’s son, Jase, mentioned during a podcast that his dad was fighting against a blood-related illness.

She expressed gratitude for the love and prayers from numerous individuals whose lives were touched by a man’s life, which was preserved by grace, his courageous faith, and his passion to share with anyone willing to listen the wonderful news about Jesus.

She noted, ‘We appreciate his time spent on this world and will carry forward his tradition of loving God and cherishing people until we meet him once more.’

Korie said the Robertson family would continue to remember their late patriarch.

‘We know so many of you love him and have been impacted by his life,’ she said.

She mentioned they were initially opting for a private memorial at this time, however, details regarding a public commemoration of his life will be shared later.

In the April 11th episode of their podcast, Jase and Al Robertson shared that Phil and his spouse Kay, who is unwell, have been residing in the same care facility.

‘We now have Phil and Kay back together – it has been fantastic,’ he said.

Jase mentioned, “Dad isn’t in good shape overall, while Mom’s health is struggling, requiring round-the-clock care from professionals. However, Dad has become incredibly calm since Mom returned.

Jase described the set up at the facility the ailing couple had been residing at.

He stated that they reside within a shared facility, yet possess an individual private space of their own, which is beneficial. This arrangement enables them to aid one another, creating a positive atmosphere overall.

Last year, I shared on Instagram about how we, my fellow followers, supported each other through our individual health struggles. We leaned on one another for strength and understanding during challenging times.

Kaye expressed that Phil and she both look after each other. Sometimes, Phil helps her by fixing small makeup smudges, while she tidies up the chicken biscuit crumbs in his beard.

‘I’m getting over being sick, and I can’t wait to get back to taking care of my pioneer man.’

Phil Robertson’s son, Willie Robertson (age 53), and his wife Korie (also 53) announced that their father, husband, and grandfather, Phil Robertson, has ascended to heaven.

‘Thank you for the love and prayers of so many whose lives have been impacted by his life.

The couple added: ‘We know so many of you love him and have been impacted by his life.

Currently, we’re holding a personal ceremony, but we’ll announce plans for a public event commemorating his life shortly.

Robertson’s son Jep Robertson took to Instagram to pay memorial to his late grandfather.

Today, Jep declared that our dear relative, Phil Robertson, has joined the company of the Almighty. He frequently echoed the sentiments of the Apostle Paul: “We sorrow not as those without faith, for we believe in a future reunion.

We firmly hold the conviction that Jesus sacrificed himself and was resurrected. Based on this belief, we also trust that God will welcome back to life with Jesus those who have passed away while being connected to him.

He stated: “We’re immensely grateful for the abundance of love and prayers from numerous individuals whose lives were impacted by Phil. It’s through divine grace that he was saved, his unwavering faith, and his ardent desire to spread the Gospel message of Jesus Christ to anyone willing to listen.

‘We appreciate the time he spent on Earth and will continue to honor his tradition of loving both God and people. We look forward to meeting up with him again someday.’

On Instagram, Duck Commander, our family’s company, shared a tribute stating, “In the realm of duck hunting, he was a pioneer… a man whose passion for his craft and pastime was undying.

‘And though he was uniquely special in his field, we will remember him for so much more…

The company highlighted that among all other qualities, it was Phil’s deep devotion towards Jesus and his eagerness to spread this belief to others which truly shone.

Duck Commander expressed, “It’s awe-inspiring to consider the lives touched by one person spreading the gospel. May we strive to honor his legacy by continuing this work in our own lives.

I appreciate your consistent reminders, Phil, about the values that truly matter – Faith, Family, and yes, Ducks too!

As a devoted admirer, I found myself joining countless others in honoring the memory of the departed reality star upon hearing the tragic news, expressed on the Facebook platform where the announcement was made.

One person commented joyfully: ‘Today, he’s overjoyed because he’s now meeting Jesus personally. He ran his life’s race with diligence, and now he’s receiving his just rewards. I’m sending my hopes for tranquility, consolation, and fortitude during this period.’

In essence, Phil was much like a wise elder to many, sharing his timeless life lessons as if he were the nation’s beloved grandfather, imparting his knowledge to future generations.

‘His charm brought joy to everyone around! Growing up, I used to watch Duck Dynasty, and it was inspiring to see a person who lived his life with faith in God and a passion for duck hunting, setting an example for us all.’
