Jade Hints at Little Mix Reunion During First Solo Show at BBC Radio 1 Big Weekend!

On Sunday evening, Jade Thirlwall subtly indicated a potential Little Mix reunion during her first-ever solo performance at the BBC Radio 1 Big Weekend held in Liverpool.

In 2011, the singer, who was then 32 years old, rose to fame as a member of Little Mix on The X Factor alongside Perrie Edwards, Jesy Nelson, and Leigh-Anne Pinnock. However, the group disbanded in 2022 following Jesy’s departure from the band.

At her performance on the New Music Stage, Jade subtly suggested a potential get-together in the future for the girl band by altering the words to one of their tunes.

In a lively performance, the chart-topping artist sung Little Mix’s 2018 smash hit “Wasabi.” As she reached the well-known lyric, “‘I bet they gonna break up,'” Jade revealed that the group is simply taking a break, referred to as ‘hiatus.’

She shouted: ‘It’s a hiatus!’

In a different part of the performance, Jade showcased a stunning medley featuring hits like “Shout Out to My Ex,” “Sweet Melody,” “Woman Like Me,” and “Touch” by Little Mix.

Afterward, she couldn’t help but express her heartfelt appreciation towards the enthusiastic audience for the band, acknowledging that she wouldn’t have made it this far without their support.

The lead singer of Angels remarked: “Do you recall that I used to be part of a girl band? You’re still rocking it, and I simply have to express my affection – I adore the Little Mix ladies wholeheartedly.

I owe a heartfelt debt of gratitude to those wonderful ladies, without whom I wouldn’t be where I am today. They’ve been my pillars of strength, and I couldn’t have made it this far alone. So, here’s a big shout-out to Little Mix!

To start off her performance, Jade made it clear that this event was going to be something extraordinary because it was her initial solo concert.

She addressed the crowd: “Liverpool, how are you all doing tonight? It’s been such a long time since I felt like this, I can hardly remember!

This marks the very first time I’m performing a solo show. I can assure you, there’s nowhere else I’d rather be and no one else I’d rather spend this evening with – this is truly amazing!

‘OK because it is my first show I want it to be extra special and a night I’ll never forget’.

Additionally, Jade showcased her latest single titled “FUFN” (a playful acronym for ‘Farewell Until Next Time’), along with an unveiled track and a rendition of Madonna’s popular song “Frozen.
