The Genshin Impact Version 5.6 Phase 2 banners will be available from May 27th, 2025, to June 6th, 2025. These banners will showcase two returning characters in a joint banner.
Kinich is a character from Dendro Claymore who has a rating of five stars, and I find him among the most inventive and agile Damage Per Second (DPS) units available in Genshin Impact thus far. Personally, I believe his distinctive movement-oriented Elemental Ability and high initial damage output make him not only enjoyable but also highly effective to utilize.

- Unique Movement-Based Skill: I love how his Elemental Skill lets him grapple onto enemies and swing around them while firing shots. It gives him amazing mobility and makes combat feel dynamic.
- Front-Loaded Burst Damage: His Scalespiker Cannon, which fires during his skill, deals a huge chunk of ATK-based damage. I think this makes Kinich an ideal pick for quick-swap or high-impact rotations.
- Off-Field Dendro Application: His Elemental Burst doesn’t just deal AoE Dendro damage, it also extends his skill duration. In my opinion, this makes him viable in Dendro reaction teams like Bloom or Quicken.
- Evasive Combat Style: What stands out to me is that his skill grants brief invulnerability, letting him dodge attacks while staying aggressive. It’s such a smooth blend of offense and defense.
- Auto-Targeting Makes Life Easy: His skill auto-locks onto enemies, which I think is a huge bonus when fighting ranged mobs or flying enemies; you don’t have to worry about aiming mid-battle.
Raiden Shogun is a five-star Electro Polearm character, and I believe she’s one of the most dependable Archon selections currently available. She performs exceptionally well as both an energy provider and a burst DPS on the field, particularly in teams that heavily utilize Elemental Bursts. In my view, she embodies the ideal blend of utility and power within a single set of abilities.

- Massive Energy Support: I personally find Raiden to be unmatched as a battery. She provides a ton of Energy Recharge and helps cycle other characters’ bursts smoothly.
- Burst Damage Queen: Her Elemental Burst is still wild even years later, scaling well with Energy Recharge and nuking enemies with every slash.
- Versatile Team Role: From National Team to Hyperbloom, she fits into so many comps. I think this makes her future-proof.
- Weapon-Scaling Synergy: Her BiS weapon, Engulfing Lightning, boosts her performance a lot, but I’ve also had success with 4-star ER polearms like “The Catch.”
Why You Should Go for Kinich or Raiden Shogun in Genshin Impact Version 5.6
As a gamer, I’ve been thoroughly enjoying both Kinich and Raiden Shogun in Version 5.6. However, the choice between these two powerhouses really boils down to your preferred playstyle and current account needs. For me, Raiden Shogun stands out as one of the most dependable and adaptable characters in the game, delivering consistently great performance.
She’s a member of numerous teams, be it National or Hyperbloom. Her energy support is exceptional. If you appreciate consistent burst damage and seamless rotations, I’d definitely recommend Raiden as a great addition. Conversely, Kinich offers something entirely unique in my opinion.

The character’s combat abilities, centered around agility, make battles feel thrilling and fast, as he can skillfully dodge enemy attacks while dishing out significant damage. In my personal encounters, he harmonizes nicely with Dendro reaction teams such as Bloom or Quicken. Additionally, his out-of-combat utility adds a touch of versatility to his role. If you’re searching for a dynamic Dendro DPS who offers a unique playstyle, I strongly recommend considering Kinich.
In conclusion, I believe both options are solid picks. Raiden provides a classic, versatile set of tools, while Kinich focuses on entertaining, innovative gameplay. Regardless if you’re seeking power, functionality, or simply wish to experiment, this update offers you two outstanding selections.
