Dota 2 Patch 7.39 overview
Quality-of-life improvements; team items, communication, and more
Historically, the spring updates for Dota 2 are referred to as patch releases aimed at fixing bugs and performing a kind of ‘spring clean.’ Just like its predecessors, Patch 7.39 follows this pattern.
As a passionate gamer, I’m thrilled about the comprehensive update Valve has rolled out for our beloved MOBA! They’ve tackled long-standing issues and glitches that have persisted for over a decade, making the gameplay smoother than ever. On top of this, they’ve introduced innovative features to enhance accessibility, making the game more inviting for newcomers like myself.
In simpler terms, the “ping wheel” has been updated to resemble that found in League of Legends. This means players now have a variety of pings to choose from, each with an icon representing the specific player using it. Additionally, a new “Team Items” menu will be displayed when purchasing items, preventing duplicates like double Mekanisms or Urns.
A detailed breakdown of current gold and buyback amounts, a mini-map that shows the route, labels that clearly indicate statuses like “Stunned” or “Silenced,” and enhanced voice chat quality can greatly enhance your experience in ranked matches or casual play.
In simpler terms, Valve has introduced user-friendly settings menus with a search function to help you locate settings quickly, personalized game alerts for when teammates purchase items or acquire abilities, and numerous adjustments designed to enhance your experience in Dota even more.
Ability Draft refresh with Hero Drafting included
In the world of gaming, I’m thrilled to share that Ability Draft is receiving a significant revamp with patch 7.39! It’s not just about squashing bugs and improving ability interactions, but we’re also talking about one of its biggest overhauls in a while – Hero Drafting! This update promises an exciting new twist to the game mode I love so much.
From now on, you have the freedom to decide which character you prefer to play, as part of your draft selection. You can pick a suitable hero at any point during the regular draft phase. What matters most to you: executing a crucial combo of abilities, or securing your favorite hero along with an impressive Facet setup? Now, it’s all in your hands!
For clarity, each hero card clearly shows its associated abilities, or Facets, ensuring you understand the characteristics of every hero selection. Now, go ahead and assemble a fantastic team combination!
Heroes Hoard introduces new item sets, Persona styles
In the upcoming Spring season of 2025, Valve has rolled out 16 fresh hero outfit collections for fans who want to give their beloved heroes a facelift! These new costumes can be found in the Heroes’ Hoard, which is included in the Spring 2025 Treasure. Among the heroes with new sets are Lion, Huskar, and Necrophos.
Certain collections, such as those featuring Invoker and Anti-Mage, are crafted with their distinctive character styles in mind, which are unlocked upon acquisition within the treasure. In the Dota 2 in-game store, you can purchase a Spring 2025 Treasure.
Dota 2 Patch 7.39 biggest buffs and nerfs
Let’s explore the primary power adjustments made to select heroes in Dota 2 update 7.39. Not all heroes are covered, but only those that fit the following categories.
n example of a hero categorized under “Buff”:
– Invoker – Quas Exponentially buffed: The damage of his Quas Wex ability has increased by 25%. This should make him more effective in the early game.
And here is an example of a hero categorized under “Nerf”:
– Lone Druid – Spirit Bear Attack Speed nerfed: The attack speed of Spirit Bears summoned by Lone Druid has been decreased by 20%. This will make it more challenging for him to clear creep waves quickly.
Change | Hero(es) |
---|---|
Major Buff | TBC |
Major Nerf | TBC |
Hero Adjustment | Clockwerk, Nature’s Prophet, Monkey King |
Below, you will find a summary of the changes included in version 7.39. For those interested in the full details, they are available here!
