Warwick Davis playfully posed up for photos during the grand opening of Universal Epic Universe in Orlando, Florida on a Wednesday.
In the Harry Potter series, the character portrayed by the 55-year-old actor (who you might remember as Professor Flitwick, Griphook, or the Goblin Bank Teller) displayed the magical wand used in those movies.
He wore a deep blue velvet blazer with smart navy trousers and a black T-shirt for the event.
As a die-hard fan, I couldn’t contain my excitement when I was invited to join Warwick, Oliver, and James Phelps for the grand opening of the fourth theme park at Universal Orlando Resort. What an unforgettable experience it was to stand alongside these magical stars!
In the films, it was Oliver and James, portraying Fred and George Weasley, who strolled down the dazzling blue carpet side by side.

On the first day, it was Harry Potter and the Battle at the Ministry that drew the greatest attention within The Wizarding World of Harry Potter – Ministry of Magic.
The revamped Harry Potter area offers visitors a magical journey, taking them from the atmosphere of 1920s Paris straight into the ’90s British Ministry of Magic. It also boasts additional shops and eateries for a truly immersive experience.
Previously this year, Warwick moved many BBC viewers to tears as he delivered a heartwarming eulogy for his deceased spouse during his speech upon receiving an award at the 2025 BAFTA ceremony.
The actor received a BAFTA Fellowship, an award given to individuals who have shown extraordinary and exceptional talent in film and television.
He held back his tears while receiving the award and dedicating it to his late wife Samantha, who passed away last year. This moment touched not only the celebrities present but also those watching at home.
At the ceremony, Tom Felton, one of Warwick’s Harry Potter colleagues, presented him with an award. The audience was treated to a collection of scenes from Warwick’s well-known ventures, mixed with testimonials from his co-stars and family members, all expressing their admiration for his skills.
Stepping onto the stage with applause all around, he started his address: ‘I believe this is one of the greatest moments in my life… and I’ve already been part of Star Wars!’
‘I’m going to keep this short, it’s been a long night… short, yes you can laugh.’

Warwick continued by expressing gratitude towards his mother, who was his initial agent, explaining that it’s due to her efforts that he is present here tonight.
After expressing gratitude to everyone on his team who stood by him during his career and acknowledging their contributions by including them in the award, he then asserted a different perspective: ‘However, I’d like to make it clear that this recognition primarily reflects my individual efforts. Essentially, this achievement is mainly mine.’
As he emotionally dedicated the award, he paid tribute to his cherished spouse who had sadly passed away nearly a year prior, at the age of 53.
Warwick expressed his deepest gratitude to his beloved wife, Sammy, who passed away nearly a year prior.
‘She consistently backed my professional endeavors, urging me to seize each chance that came my way firmly.’
For 33 years, Samantha, a talented actress, shared her life with Warwick, and they were blessed with the birth of three children. However, on March 24, she tragically passed away.
In the audience, Annabelle, age 27, and Harrison, 21, were visibly emotional as they watched their father express gratitude for their support during a challenging period of his life.
