Calling Four Seasons fans! A ‘dysfunctional’ new series with star-studded cast is now on Netflix

If you’ve savored the delightful discomfort of “Four Seasons” and are open to more, Netflix offers another intriguing option: a fresh dose of dark comedy called “Sirens”.

Today, the show features an illustrious ensemble: Julianne Moore plays the enigmatic billionaire Michaela Kell, Milly Alcock from “House of the Dragon” portrays her employee and protegee Simone, and Meghann Fahy from “The White Lotus” embodies Simone’s sister Devon.

The trailer seems to evoke a distinct feeling reminiscent of “The Stepford Wives” as Devon journeys to Michaela’s opulent seaside mansion to collect her sibling.

What to Read Next

During the Labor Day weekend, it appears that Simone has become quite captivated by her charming superior and is currently overseeing the celebrations at the residence.

As Devon steps into the house, they notice that all the women present, including Simone, are wearing floral cocktail dresses remarkably alike. What’s more unsettling is that Simone doesn’t seem pleased to see them and is making an effort to appear friendly with the other party guests.

In a fresh game sequence, I find myself noticing that Simone has been absent for quite some time now, intentionally keeping her distance from the familiar faces of her family.

Devon exclaims angrily to her sister, “You heard I’d been told that our father has early-stage dementia, and yet you send a basket of fruit?!” As she tears the basket apart in frustration.

During this turbulent weekend, it’s clear that Devon is on a mission, but she may not realize that she could be facing a formidable opponent in the cool-headed Michaela of Moore.

“I didn’t know you existed,” Michaela tells Devon when she says she and Simone are “very close”.

It seems that Simone has gotten rid of the tattoo she shared with Devon, underwent a total makeover, and claims to be “happier than ever.

As an avid viewer, I’m excited to share that the newly released Netflix adaptation, although receiving mixed reviews, has managed to break into the popular UK chart. Some find it ‘slick’, while others have their reservations, but its presence on the trending list certainly piques my curiosity!

As Doechii’s ‘Anxiety’ continues playing, the trailer veers into a foreboding and mysterious atmosphere. Similarly, Devon seems to be drawn into Michaela’s opulent lifestyle, with Peter (played by Kevin Bacon) suggesting his wife has the power to mesmerize others in such a way.

It’s crucial for Devon to exercise caution if he intends to safely escape the situation while also ensuring Simone is with him. This could involve being mindful of Michaela’s alluring charm or influence.

As a devoted admirer, I’d like to share that the captivating television series I’m currently engrossed in was masterfully crafted by Molly Smith Metzler from her 2011 play “Elemeno Pea.” This enticing production also boasts the talented Glenn Howerton, Felix Solis, and Josh Segarra, all of whom have graced our screens with their exceptional performances, particularly in the popular show “It’s Always Sunny.

Sirens is streaming on Netflix now.
