Rap artist Rod Wave, hailing from Florida, was taken into custody in Fulton County, Georgia this week over allegations involving numerous charges, such as weapon possession and assault. His legal team expresses disbelief over the charge of assault, labeling it as “hard to understand.
26-year-old artist Rodarius Green, also known as the musician, was detained on Tuesday in Fulton County Jail and later released after posting a $50,000 bond. The information was obtained from jail records by The Times. He is currently facing 14 charges that originated from an event that took place on April 21st. Last night, rap artist Jay Rock was taken into custody close to the Watts housing project that was part of his upbringing, following accusations of unlawful gun ownership. According to officials, this is the alleged offense for which he’s been detained.
The hip-hop star’s alleged actions reportedly violated the terms of an active bond order.
Back in September 2021, Green was arrested in Fulton County for a battery charge, which is believed to stem from an incident in October 2020. The jail records confirm this. He managed to secure a $5,000 bond in this particular case.
According to TMZ, the details of the event in April that resulted in Green’s arrest, as shown in jail records, were not revealed with any extra information. They claim the conflict originated from an alleged argument at the rapper’s residence located near Atlanta.
The police informed the website that Green, along with his real estate agents and other companions, visited a house that had been broken into. An altercation reportedly occurred among them as they were carrying out items from the house, and according to TMZ, a semi-automatic gun was brandished and fired. The authorities claimed that the rapper allegedly discharged several rounds into his associate’s car, his own vehicle, and the wall of his home. Police further alleged that Green started collecting spent bullet casings and attempted to escape the scene in an attempt to evade arrest, as reported by TMZ.

Chris Brown is staying in London until mid-June because he’s under investigation for an alleged attack involving a tequila bottle. With his tour starting on June 8, Brown will continue to stay put until the next court date.
In more recent times, the up-and-coming rap artist, whose fame peaked last year, has encountered multiple legal issues. These include incidents related to alleged felony battery by strangulation (the charges for this incident were dismissed), as well as accusations involving weapons.
Green’s lawyers, Drew Findling and Marissa Goldberg, stated on Wednesday that the allegations made during Tuesday’s arrest are not true, as reported to The Times.
The statement goes on: “Rod Green fell victim to a burglary, yet he didn’t commit any offenses. It’s hard to understand how he was accused due to this circumstance. However, this matter is expected to turn out in Rod Green’s favor.
