The film “Talk to Me” (2023), penned and helmed by Danny and Michael Philippou in their first feature, shares a hidden cosmic connection with the movie “Bring Her Back“. In “Talk to Me“, we find a group of teenagers conversing with spirits using a preserved hand. The ensemble includes Sophie Wilde, Alexandra Jensen, Miranda Otto, Zoe Terakes, and Jacek Koman. On the other hand, “Bring Her Back” stars Sally Hawkins, Billy Barratt, and Sora Wong, and it revolves around a brother and sister uncovering a chilling ritual concealed in their new foster mother’s isolated dwelling, through an A24 horror production.
In a conversation on the Jake’s Takes podcast, Danny and Michael Philippou revealed that their A24 horror films, Talk to Me and Bring Her Back, share the same universe. When asked directly if the preserved hand from Talk to Me is part of the same world as Bring Her Back, Danny replied affirmatively, “Yes, I would say so.” Michael added, “We’ll soon have something to prove that connection.” You can find their comments in the linked video below.
