In simpler terms, Reuben Owen, famously known for the show “Our Yorkshire Farm,” has clarified misconceptions about his parents’ split, refuting allegations that their separation was a fierce struggle, instead describing it as something less tumultuous.
2022 saw Amanda and Clive Owen part ways following 22 years of marriage. Their son, Reuben, confirmed the separation was handled in a friendly and cordial manner.
He shared with The Daily Telegraph that the media continues to sensationalize his parents’ separation, implying there was a monumental fight, but in reality, there was none.
They had a friendly parting, and it seems they drifted apart and ended their relationship. However, no matter if they’re together or not, they remain exceptional parents.
Occasionally, minor incidents get exaggerated excessively in the news headlines, as Reuben pointed out. However, it’s unrealistic to appear on television without attracting curiosity about your personal life outside of the screen.

In the previous year, Amanda shared insights on her enhanced bond with Clive following their separation, disclosing to the Daily Mail that currently, “Clive is the one she converses with most.
Expanding on the causes of the separation, she mentioned, “I was attempting to fulfill everyone’s needs, which proved to be draining… In an effort to escape the environment, I would retreat to our vacation rental nearby…
It didn’t take long for me to notice that I felt significantly more relaxed when I was away from Clive, and it seemed the same was true for him. Consequently, I started spending an increasing amount of time there instead.

In 2023, Clive confessed that the prosperity of “Our Yorkshire Farm” was a significant factor in their marital issues. He acknowledged that he mishandled the situation poorly.
“It was such a change in our lives and I sadly made a right mess of things,” he told Lorraine.
I played a significant role in the breakdown of our relationship. I had a significant role in it. While these events were unfolding, I found myself venting, getting upset, drinking excessively, and acting impulsively.
Our Farm Next Door: Amanda, Clive and Kids airs on More4.
