Lo and behold! Mattel has teamed up with TriStar Pictures to produce a live-action/animated blend movie, inspired by their iconic Whac-a-Mole game. Given the circumstances, why not? It’s unlikely that anyone had this on their 2025 movie bingo card, but a game where you whack moles with a big hammer undeniably holds the promise of becoming a full-length film. Following the triumph of Greta Gerwig’s Barbie, the moles are in capable hands (though they might not be safe from those wielding hammers).
