Zoe Ball Shares Rare Family Photo with Woody, Nellie, and Johnny Ball During Heartwarming Day Out
On Sunday, Zoe Ball spent a delightful day with her family, which she later posted about on Instagram with an affectionate photo featuring her kids and dad Johnny Ball.
The radio host, who’s 54 years old, welcomed her son Woody (age 24), her daughter Nellie (age 14), along with her father Johnny (86 years) and her stepmother Dianne (74).
On a lovely day at The Big Beach Café in Hove, the group was all smiles in this picture, as Zoe wrote: ‘Spending Sunday in the park…’, accompanied by a sun and love heart emoji.
Zoe is back on BBC Radio 2, and she shares two kids with her former spouse, popularly recognized as DJ Fatboy Slim (Norman Cook).
Nevertheless, Woody, who is likewise chasing a path in music, claims he has “worked hard to make it in the industry” instead of overly relying on his parents’ help.
In an interview with a new magazine, he shared: “At first, I certainly experienced pressure, but my parents have been exceptional in giving me independence and encouraging self-reliance.

‘I’ve sweated my way through the industry, I think people started to see that.’
Despite the label of ‘nepo baby’ being used, Woody himself asserts that he is unfazed by it. Instead, he attributes his achievements to the support he received from his parents, rather than their professions.
He shared: “It doesn’t matter to me. My parents are the ones who shaped me into who I am today, providing me with an exceptional education.
‘These individuals are incredibly selfless, compassionate, and diligent, and their qualities have been a priceless gift to me. I can honestly say that I am deeply indebted to them for everything they’ve bestowed upon me.’
Previously, Woody made clear that he doesn’t concern himself with others’ opinions regarding him or his family connections.
He shared with Bang Showbiz that he experienced bullying during his school years, as well as occasions where others at parties would mock him by saying, “Quiet down, the son of Fatboy.
‘It’s opened up more doors, people always remember me.
I have a diverse taste and can be unconventional at times. Yet, I carry the genes of my ancestors. Ultimately, there will always be a resemblance to my family in the long run.

‘Genetically I’m mildly similar but it’s not my job to care.
As a devoted musician, I’m deeply gratified by those who appreciate my work, as they truly resonate with my tunes. The power of my music lies in its self-expression, requiring no validation from others.
In early March, Zoe resumed her role at BBC Radio 2 following a break she took in December to prioritize her family. This move marked the end of her £950,000 breakfast show contract.
After spending a prolonged period of rest earlier in the year following her mother Julia’s passing due to cancer, she chose to spend quality time with her family during this break. In May, she came back with a fresh project in tow.
In February, it was formally declared that Radio 2 would undergo program adjustments, among which was the introduction of a fresh weekly show, airing from 1 to 3 pm, hosted by Zoe.
Helen Thomas, Radio 2’s Chief, expressed her excitement by saying: “Zoe is one of the UK’s beloved broadcasters. I’m delighted to share that she now has a regular spot on Radio 2 during Saturday afternoons, and she will also host several special events for us throughout the year.
In a warm greeting, she introduced her fresh program by saying: “Greetings, I’m here! What a pleasure to return on a Saturday.
‘This is where it all began for me back when I used to sweep up and make the teas.’
Excited about the star’s comeback, a viewer commented: ‘It’s wonderful to have you back; afternoons are now more enjoyable compared to mornings’
Following that, she also expressed her gratitude by saying, “What a delight to be present! Thank you for your heartwarming messages.
