Rachael Finch faced criticism from her supporters when she disclosed that she doesn’t enroll her children in team sports due to a specific reason.
A 36-year-old model, who has Violet (8) and Dominic (6) with Michael Miziner, ignited debate when she posted a video on Instagram on Monday.
In the video, it appeared that both her husband and oldest child were practicing tennis on the court, and Rachael posted a commentary that sparked some surprise.
‘People ask, “Why don’t your kids play team sports?”‘ the mother-of-two wrote over the video.
‘We are their team,’ she added.
Rachel elaborated further by sharing that she had always desired to align with her family, regardless of the circumstances surrounding her stance.

She stated, “I’ll take care of the water bottles and cut up the oranges. It doesn’t matter what task I perform; all that matters is being part of this team.
As a devoted follower, I express my heartfelt hope that they, my cherished offspring, will grasp valuable life lessons such as resilience, taking responsibility, cultivating self-assurance, handling both triumphs and defeats with grace, maintaining emotional equilibrium, and understanding the principle of reaping what one sows.
Nevertheless, regardless of whether they achieved it or not, the mom beamed with pride and expressed that being present at every instance their children glanced towards the sidelines was a cherished aspiration for her and her spouse as well.
She mentioned that it’s most significant for them to be exploring and understanding themselves better, all while being in an environment that’s both demanding and nurturing, and of course, having fun along the way.
The choice to engage in team sports was largely hers. She posed a query to fellow parents, “Is it more beneficial for children to participate in team or solo sports?
Many individuals expressing their opinions about Rachael’s parenting perspective flooded the comment area, and numerous ones criticized her choice.
One individual expressed, in a somewhat disgruntled tone, ‘Although my children participate in team sports, it doesn’t imply that my spouse and I aren’t also part of their team.’
A different person added: “It seems essential for kids to interact with other kids, not only be with their parents constantly. This is simply my viewpoint.

Absolutely, it’s essential that team sports are played, ideally with no parents present on the sidelines. This setup is vital for personal empowerment and growth.
Parents considered the issue, concluding that a mix of options might be ideal, provided it aligns with the wishes of their children.
One individual shared their viewpoint: ‘Playing any sport, whether team-based or solo, is fantastic in my opinion! As children grow up, they’ll let you know which sport they wish to stick with or switch to another.’
A supporter commented: ‘It’s only important that the children are pursuing what they enjoy, regardless of their choice.’
In a different phrasing, the statement could be: ‘My children participate in both team and solo sports. It’s not about choosing the best or the worst, but rather discovering what suits your child and your family best.’
On previous occasions, the social media influencer has faced criticism regarding her children’s sports schedules online.
In November, Rachel and Michael attracted attention when they released a video highlighting their two kids enduring intense tennis coaching sessions.
On Instagram, the television figure posted a compilation video showcasing Violet and Dominic engaging in diverse training exercises, day and night.

In the video, we see the siblings engaged in an intense workout routine, featuring challenging box jumps onto a park bench, squats, and tennis ball serves.
In her post caption, Rachael expressed that she and Michael, as seen in the video, were teaching their kids the importance of hard work.
As a die-hard admirer, I penned down: “Whether they step onto the courts of Wimbledon or not, their journey there promises to be an enlightening one. They’ll uncover layers about themselves and discover just how far they can push their limits.
Our responsibility lies in discovering methods to instill values such as determination, self-worth, and a strong work ethic within them. We aim to guide them in creating something they can take pride in. We want to help them understand the importance of perseverance, even when faced with moments of disinterest.
Rachael finished the post with: ‘By far the hardest job, but certainly the most rewarding.’
One ex-supporter strongly objected to the video and felt compelled to address Rachel personally, letting her know that she had lost a supporter.
The upset fan expressed, ‘It was really hard to watch.’ They decided to stop following, which Rachael captured and posted on her Instagram story.
Appearing unperturbed by the negativity, Rachael captioned the post with a flippant: ‘Okie dokie.’
