Carrie Bickmore Recreates Iconic Gold Logie Look to Support Brain Cancer Charity
Carrie Bickmore has dug up an iconic past look for a good cause.
On Mondays, the 44-year-old radio host posted an image on Instagram, showcasing her well-known Gold Logie Awards gown from 2015. She teamed this classic dress with a beanie, paying tribute to her late spouse in a subtle way.
At the 57th annual awards ceremony, Carrie, winner of the Most Popular Personality award on Australian Television, took her time in the spotlight to honor her deceased partner, Greg Lange. During her heartfelt two-minute speech, she emphasized brain cancer – the illness that claimed his life.
In tribute to his passing, the Australian celebrity opted to honor his legacy by continuing it through her charitable organization, Carrie’s Beanies for Brain Cancer.
To commemorate his demise, the renowned Aussie figure chose to preserve his legacy by extending it via her charity, Carrie’s Beanies for Brain Cancer.
Compare two photos taken in different years (2015 and 2025) of a media personality wearing an eye-catching silver dress, which accentuated her slender physique, featuring a waistline defined by a belt and a vibrant blue beanie on top of her head.
10 years have passed since that same beanie and dress were worn, and now $25 million has been donated for brain cancer research, all thanks to your ongoing support – this is what her post expressed.

Greg tragically passed away in December 2010 at age 35 from a 10-year battle with brain cancer.
Back in 2018, I had the absolute honor of chatting with Anh Do on his ABC show, Anh’s Brush With Fame. During our heart-to-heart conversation, Carrie shared a deeply personal story that left me spellbound. In 2001, when her world was turned upside down by her husband’s diagnosis, it felt like a cosmic storm had swept through her life, leaving nothing as it once was.
Approximately one year following our relocation to Melbourne, when I was either 21 or 22 years old, and he was roughly 25, an incident occurred at his residence. He had a seizure, which triggered a series of events, ultimately leading to the discovery that he had a brain tumor. She recounted this heartbreakingly.
In your twenties, encountering someone with brain cancer was entirely uncharted territory for me. I hadn’t met many people who had cancer, let alone someone with brain cancer, and neither did the person in question.
‘It overturned all our knowledge, all our plans, all our beliefs… it simply turned everything upside down.’
Uncertain about their future, the pair welcomed their first child, Oliver, in 2005. Carrie confessed that this might have been the most wonderful thing they accomplished jointly.
She once mentioned that it may seem unusual, but frequently I observe him while he showers, particularly from behind. His build is remarkably small yet strikingly reminiscent of Greg’s. They share many similarities, which turned out to be quite beneficial for us, as she found comfort in his presence.
At the Logies event, Carrie shared the touching origin of her charity’s purpose, expressing, ‘Greg was an incredible father and husband. He often concealed his wounds under various roles, and I’d always encourage him, saying, “Don’t feel ashamed.”‘

After the passing of Greg, Carrie subsequently entered a relationship with Chris Walker, welcoming two children, Evie and Adelaide, into their family.
However, the pair announced their separation via social media in 2022.
After that point, Carrie has sparked romance speculations due to her apparent on-air compatibility and playful online interactions with her radio partner, Tommy Little.
The duo, who team up for the radio program Carrie & Tommy, have been frequently seen together recently, snuggling up at a golf event in Adelaide and embarking on a joint excursion to Uluru.
She posted a delightful Instagram picture showing her and Tommy in an affectionate hug, both sporting smiles during the LIV golf event.
Lately, Tommy has admitted something about his relationship that has only added fuel to the fire of romantic speculation.
The comedian openly shared with Stellar that he has a strong desire to begin a family and establish a permanent home, although he might still be holding onto some childish tendencies.
