2013’s America’s Next Top Model: All Stars champion, Lisa D’Amato, recently criticized Tyra Banks and Janice Dickinson in an interview with Dailymail.com.

Born in Los Angeles, D’Amato gained recognition when he appeared alongside Tyra Banks on America’s Next Top Model in its fifth season back in 2005. He eventually emerged victorious as the winner of America’s Next Top Model: All Stars six years after that, in 2011.

Without shying away from debates, D’Amato has generated news coverage over the past few years by critiquing aspects of the reality series, first Banks and more recently, Janice Dickinson.

As a devoted follower, I firmly believe that Tyra appears to lack a strong moral compass. In my opinion, she has yet to acknowledge or take responsibility for her actions.

According to D’Amato, she believes that Banks continues to employ manipulation and concealing the kind of emotional harm she has inflicted, affecting not just the show’s audience but also the contestants on America’s Next Top Model.

DailyMail.com contacted several representatives from banks, seeking their comments following D’Amato’s recent statements.

In 2005, Dickinson and D’Amato were featured on an episode of the reality series called “The Woman Choosing Breast Augmentation.

Regarding the robust model in question, D’Amato expressed his sentiments by saying, ‘Whenever someone brings up Janice Dickinson, I’m usually annoyed, as she claims to be the first supermodel – however, this isn’t accurate… There’s nothing about her career that has had a positive impact whatsoever.’

She simply follows the latest fads, without contributing to their growth or uplifting others. When someone asks me about her, I’m genuinely perplexed because I find nothing inspiring in her actions; she merely mirrors what is popular at the moment.

When asked about any particular actions Dickinson took towards him during the show, D’Amato responded, ‘Yes, she instigated a conflict with me for no apparent reason, as the show instructed her to – throughout her career, she has been portraying herself as a victim, an addict, and a figure similar to Simon Cowell on America’s Next Top Model, and also in the entertainment industry.’

In response, a representative for Dickinson informed Daily Mail.com that Janice had always been open about her role as a character similar to Simon Cowell, reflecting the atmosphere of the show at that time.

Throughout her tenure as a judge, Janice struggled with addiction. She has worked tirelessly to uphold her sobriety, and equally diligently to acknowledge her past mistakes and make restitution towards those she may have harmed.

Dickinson’s representative told Dailymail.com that it’s significant to highlight she is the sole judge who has apologized and met with numerous former contestants to discuss their show experiences, demonstrating her alignment with many of the participants.

It appears that Janice was dismayed to learn about Lisa’s less-than-satisfactory encounter with the show, before and after it ended. However, it should be noted that she wasn’t a judge during that particular cycle, which means she doesn’t personally know Lisa or understand why her name is being mentioned in this context.

Over the past few years, D’Amato has channeled her efforts into various pursuits such as her model work, participating in other reality TV shows, creating a music collection, and several other ventures.

Over 274,000 people follow her main Instagram account, and in 2024, there was a discussion about her on Reddit under the ANTM subreddit, with the title, “I believe Lisa D’Amato might be a genius.

It’s clear that she has truly made a name for herself, not just in modeling and singing, but also in entrepreneurship.

It seems that she finds life monotonous as success comes easily to her without much effort, so to avoid feeling stifled or overwhelmed by this ease, she engages in her eccentric behavior.
