Mark Ruffalo Faces Tough Competition as He Tries to Win Over Natalie Portman in New Netflix Rom-Com!
Secured a principal part in the forthcoming Netflix film titled “Good Sex.” This romantic comedy is the creation of Lena Dunham, the renowned creator of “Girls.
Following his performance in “Mickey 17”, Mark Ruffalo has been added to the star-studded lineup that also includes Academy Award winner Natalie Portman, musician Tucker Pillsbury (better known as Role Model), as per recent reports. Lena Dunham will be penning and directing the production, with Portman serving as producer through her company MountainA.
Mark Ruffalo Joins Natalie Portman in Netflix Original Movie Good Sex
After a decade in a disastrous relationship, Ally (Portman), who’s turning 40 and a successful couples’ therapist, is reluctantly pushed by her friend into New York’s dating scene. However, Ally’s life becomes complex when she becomes romantically involved with two men – a young, hipster guy from Brooklyn and an older, successful man from Manhattan. As she stands at a romantic crossroads that turns into a personal identity crisis, Ally struggles to maintain her relationships with these two very different men while figuring out her own confusing feelings before she risks losing them both.
In the upcoming romantic comedy, Mark Ruffalo and Dylan Pillsbury are set to portray the two gentlemen vying for Rachel Portman’s character, Ally. The team is still auditioning actors for other roles in the film.
Currently, I’m engrossed in the creative process of two captivating projects for Netflix. One of these, the Netflix original series titled “Too Much,” features Megan Stalter from “Hacks” and Will Sharpe from “The White Lotus.” In this comedy series, Megan’s character, after a heart-wrenching breakup, relocates from New York to London in search of a fresh start. However, she unexpectedly finds herself drawn to Felix, played by Will Sharpe. The ensemble cast for “Too Much” is nothing short of stellar, with the likes of Emily Ratajkowski (from “I Feel Pretty”), Richard E. Grant (in “Loki”), Rita Wilson (of “Sleepless in Seattle”), and Stephen Fry (from “The Hobbit”).

Next, Mark Ruffalo will take on a role in the adaptation of Don Winslow’s novel, where he will join forces once more with his fellow Avengers member Chris Hemsworth. Barry Keoghan, Halle Berry and Jennifer Jason Leigh are also part of the cast for co-writer and director Bart Layton’s crime drama. Recently, headlines were made when it was reported that a crew member stood up for an actress during filming of this upcoming movie, titled Crime 101.
Berry expressed that Hemsworth is one of her most cherished individuals on Earth. She referred to him as an admirable person. There’s a story I won’t share at the moment, but during our film, he showed exceptional courage in supporting me. That instant, I knew I would be a supporter and fan of this man for the remainder of his life because he defended a woman.
Berry continued: “He didn’t have to do it and he did it.“
“This is one of my new favorite people in the whole wide world.”
Portman is set to appear in several upcoming films: she will star alongside John Krasinski in Guy Ritchie’s heist movie titled “Fountain of Youth,” and she will also lend her voice for Netflix’s animated comedy “The Twits,” where she joins Emilia Clarke and Margo Martindale. Additionally, Portman will feature in the thriller “The Gallerist” alongside Jenna Ortega, Da’Vine Joy Randolph, and Sterling K. Brown.
