Trump, stuck on Beyoncé-Springsteen hype for Harris, wants ‘major investigation’ on celebrity endorsements
President Trump continues to be captivated by the celebrity status that significantly influenced Vice President Kamala Harris’ ultimately unsuccessful bid for office.
Over two posts published on his Truth Social account on Sunday evening and Monday morning, Trump voiced criticism towards several celebrities who publicly endorsed Harris during her prolonged campaign. The stars that drew Trump’s anger included Beyoncé, Bruce Springsteen, Oprah, and Bono. In a series of all-caps outbursts, the former host of “The Apprentice” claimed that the Harris team had illegally compensated Springsteen, Beyoncé, and other stars to perform at campaign events and back the Biden-era Vice President.
Trump expressed his intention to launch an extensive probe into this issue, stating it in a tweet on Sunday. He also alleged that Harris and her team were secretly purchasing endorsements, claiming they did so under the pretense of paying for amusement.

At the second performance of his “Land of Hopes and Dreams” tour, held in Manchester, England, the musician voiced his criticism of Trump once more, following a day where the president publicly criticized him via social media platforms.
During different points in her campaign journey, Beyoncé, Springsteen, and other notable figures publicly endorsed Kamala Harris. Beyoncé expressed her support when Harris visited the pop star’s home state of Texas towards the end of October. Meanwhile, Bruce Springsteen campaigned for Harris in Georgia during the same week.
Trump posted his initial tweet late Sunday, 10:30 PM, criticizing Harris for inflating her small gatherings and attacking “these unpatriotic ‘entertainers.'” Apparently, these issues were still troubling him as he continued his criticism on Monday morning.
6:11 a.m. on Monday, Trump continued criticizing Beyoncé, referencing unspecified news stories claiming she received $11 million to back his rival’s campaign: “A RIGGED ELECTION SCANDAL AT THE HIGHEST POINT.” On the same day, Beyoncé’s representative didn’t provide a comment to The Times upon request.

Trump voices his disapproval on his Truth Social network, expressing dissatisfaction with the continuous criticism from ’60 Minutes’, despite his ongoing lawsuit against the show.
He said the stars he named, “AND, PERHAPS, MANY OTHERS, HAVE A LOT OF EXPLAINING TO DO!!!”
Trump, who is supported by artists like Kid Rock and Billy Ray Cyrus, recently took aim at Taylor Swift. In a post on Truth Social last week, he implied that Swift’s popularity has waned since he stated “I HATE TAYLOR SWIFT” in September 2024. Notably, Swift had endorsed Harris for president, which may have influenced Trump’s comments.
After his four-day trip to the Middle East, the president voiced his disapproval towards several music celebrities upon his return to Washington on Friday. One of those targeted was Bruce Springsteen, who criticized the administration during a concert in Manchester, England on May 14. Trump’s post on Truth Social read: “This aging rocker should refrain from speaking until he returns to the U.S., it’s just common practice.

Hollywood Inc.
The day following President Trump’s announcement of a 100% tariff on foreign-made films, Hollywood responds to this news.
“Then we’ll all see how it goes for him!” he added.
On a Saturday response, the “Born in the USA” musician countered Trump’s remarks. “In my homeland,” he stated, “people are being oppressed for exercising their freedom of speech and expressing dissent. This is currently taking place.
You can find the complete monologue before “My City of Ruins” by Springsteen on his official website.
