MAFS Bride Veronica Cloherty’s Instagram Fails While Eliot Donovan Thrives
It’s the reality TV plot twist Married At First Sight bride Veronica Cloherty never saw coming.
Originally aspiring for the title of Miss Universe, she joined the television dating program late in its run and was disappointed when she didn’t gain the social media influence she had hoped for following her appearance on the Channel Nine series.
Although her on-screen spouse Eliot Donovan experiences a surprising popular resurgence in his character, it’s reported by Daily Mail Australia that Veronica feels bitter, taken aback, and ashamed as she observes her number of followers growing painfully slowly.
According to a reliable source, she truly believed she would end up with a substantial fan base worth over six figures and a career in the limelight.
‘Instead, she’s gained barely any traction online – and everyone’s turned on her.’
‘Honestly, she’s been saying she wants to move on from MAFS and forget it ever happened.’

Based on various reports, the up-and-coming actress, aged 30, is reportedly furious about Eliot’s growing fame – and how she’s been portrayed as the main antagonist in this project.
The source added that she believed Eliot would face criticism, while she herself would emerge as a favorite among the public.
She hadn’t thought that everyone would develop feelings for him, nor did she anticipate facing criticism herself.
‘She’s salty. Really salty.’
To be completely honest, the situation has deteriorated to such an extent that one of the cast members jokingly commented off-screen: “She could always find work at a general store like Woolworth’s.
A drastic downfall is quite unexpected for someone who initially joined the study with high hopes of establishing a reputation for themselves.
Previously, as Daily Mail Australia stated, Veronica seemed to view the show as a chance to star in her own video, often putting on a show for the cameras. In fact, during a social gathering, she openly confessed that her actions throughout had been scripted.
‘She said it with pride, like it was some kind of strategy,’ one stunned castmate revealed.

‘She was basically bragging about faking her personality to stay on TV longer.’
As a lifestyle guru reflecting on my past, I must admit that prior to finding my stride on Married at First Sight, I dabbled in the world of television with mixed results. I secured minor roles in shows such as Streets of Colour and the brief series RIFK, which unfortunately didn’t last long. However, these experiences were stepping stones leading me to where I am today.
But sources say her time on MAFS has only made future prospects more difficult.
‘She thought this would boost her acting career,’ a production source explained.
However, she’s currently grappling with the consequences arising from perceptions that she is manipulative, fame-seeking, and disconnected.
She’s feeling even more aggravated as Eliot is receiving accolades, yet she’s enduring cyberbullying.
Or
Her irritation deepens as Eliot is lauded, whereas she faces online harassment.
Veronica seemed to have a swift disconnection with her husband, as rumors suggest that she was investing more time in building relationships with Eliot’s former partner, Lauren Hall, rather than working on saving their marriage.
According to a source, it seemed as though she didn’t value Eliot’s feelings much at all. Instead, she focused more on expanding her social circle and boosting her reputation, which unfortunately may have led to the downfall of their relationship.
Despite the challenges she’s faced, it’s reported that Veronica is working behind the scenes, making amends and contacting talent agencies in an effort to restart her acting career.
But those close to production say the ship may have already sailed.
The insider noted that she had entered with the belief it was her major opportunity. However, it’s important to acknowledge that the show revealed some aspects of her that she found difficult to bounce back from.
She aspired to resemble Martha Kalifatidis, yet ended up with fewer followers than some of the brides. It’s tough.
She aimed to emulate Martha Kalifatidis, but she’s left with a smaller follower count compared to several grooms. It’s harsh.
