Final Destination: Bloodlines lands “sensational” opening to set another record
The movie titled “Final Destination: Bloodlines” kicked off with an extraordinary debut at American cinemas, breaking yet another earnings record.
This past Friday, the sixth installment of the popular horror movie series was released in U.S. theaters, earning a staggering $51 million during its initial weekend, according to Variety’s reports.
In the gaming world, I was absolutely blown away by the stunning premiere of Bloodlines, knocking Marvel’s Thunderbolts off their throne at the top of the charts.

In addition, the subsequent installment broke records as the highest-grossing premiere within the series, outperforming the initial film “The Final Destination,” which brought in approximately $27 million when it first hit theaters back in 2009.
Following the exceptional success of “Bloodlines” with a remarkable 93% rating from 124 reviews on Rotten Tomatoes, making it the top-rated film in the series, comes this new record. This is preceded by “Final Destination 5” from 2011, which received a much lower score of 63%.
Worldwide, the film garnered an additional $51 million across 74 different countries, resulting in a remarkable $102 million as its global opening weekend total.
David A Gross, an analyst from Franchise Entertainment Research, declared that the sixth episode of this horror series has a captivating start. Critics have given rave reviews, and the audience ratings in the horror genre are impressively high.
As a diehard fan, I’d say “I’m deeply engrossed in the chilling narrative of ‘Final Destination: Bloodlines.’ In this thriller, I find myself in the shoes of college student Stefani (Kaitlyn Santa Juana), who’s on a mission to shatter a seemingly endless chain of fatalities that traces back to her grandmother Iris, a victim in 1968.
The movie “Final Destination: Bloodlines” received a 4-star rating from Digital Spy in their review, stating that it successfully maintains the essence and dark core of the series. This is clear not only through its portrayal of deaths but also in its handling of the late, highly respected Tony Todd, whose moving final scene in the series is likely to bring tears to viewers’ eyes.
For both longtime enthusiasts and fresh viewers, the movie “Final Destination: Bloodlines” demonstrates that there’s still a lot of vitality in this franchise.
Final Destination: Bloodlines is out now in cinemas.
As a gaming enthusiast, I’m thrilled to share that my favorite online magazine, Digital Spy, has finally stepped into the world of print!
