Ezra Miller Surprises Cannes After Years of Controversy and Legal Troubles

Over the past weekend, Ezra Miller unexpectedly attended the Cannes Film Festival, marking a return to public appearances after some time away due to recent controversies.

32-year-old celeb, who’s been having some troubles lately, appeared on the red carpet in a burgundy tuxedo and a beret atop their lengthy locks. However, they moved swiftly without pausing for any photo opportunities.

As stated by Variety, Miller attended the premiere of director Lynne Ramsay’s movie “Die, My Love,” which features Jennifer Lawrence and Robert Pattinson, to offer his support.

Previously, the actor portraying The Flash uses the pronouns they/them. They had collaborated with the director on the 2011 movie titled “We Need to Talk About Kevin.

Since the release of The Flash in 2023, which didn’t fare well at the box office, Miller has chosen to stay out of the public eye.

Last year, they stepped away from public view following an apology for past actions and mentioned that they were addressing their intricate psychological challenges by seeking professional help.

Previously, they had been in the spotlight numerous times due to several arrests and a string of troubling accusations, one of which was that they allegedly manipulated a young girl.

Online videos emerged showing the actor seemingly attacking innocent people, and there were troubling claims that he kept firearms and ammunition carelessly scattered throughout his residence where children lived.

They were arrested in Hawaii after allegedly attacking a couple at a karaoke bar in 2022. 

Approximately a month had passed, and they were apprehended once more under accusations of causing bodily harm to a woman, specifically by hurling a chair towards her head.

Additionally, they faced accusations of harassing a woman in Germany, with claims that they provided an unsafe living situation for three children and their mother in Vermont.

And they were also charged with felony burglary in the same state. 

In June 2023, the protective order that had been imposed on them in Massachusetts was removed, indicating that their legal issues were now resolved.

Previously, it has been alleged that the actor acted unacceptably towards a 12-year-old child and the child’s relatives.

Recently, Miller has been performing alongside Tokata Iron Eyes, who is now 21 and identifies as an indigenous, non-binary adult, as part of the band Hundred In The Hand, based on their latest Instagram updates from last month.

They allegedly met in 2016 when Tokata was 12 and Miller was 23. 

Previously, Tokata’s parents had filed a petition alleging that Miller was involved in ‘minor corruption’ and exhibiting ‘manipulative and controlling behavior, akin to a cult.’

Last year, her father clarified that they had retracted the allegation made in June 2022 concerning some issue, and they were making every effort to leave it behind and proceed.

At the time, Miller said they were ‘very grateful.’ 

I feel uplifted by today’s results and deeply thankful right now to all those who have supported me throughout, particularly in putting a stop to the inappropriate use of the protective order system.

They then slammed the press in their social media statement.
