Recently, she dropped a new song after quite some time as part of the soundtrack for an upcoming Smurfs movie, and fans are absolutely thrilled about it!
In the forthcoming children’s film, “The Smurf Movie,” Rihanna lends her voice to the character of Smurfette. Following the trailer release for this movie, Rihanna unexpectedly unveiled a new single titled “Friend of Mine.” This cheerful, synth-driven track appears tailor-made for kid-oriented dance events, surprising fans who were eager to hear any new music from her. There’s a strong possibility that “Friend of Mine” could become this summer’s hit club anthem, or at least a catchy tune that kids won’t be able to get out of their heads after watching the movie, which is slated for release in July 2025. Some fans even suspect that Rihanna might be playing a joke on us. They argue:

However, baby number 3 will have to grow a bit before fully appreciating her contributions to the movie.
