In the forthcoming children’s film, “The Smurf Movie,” Rihanna lends her voice to the character of Smurfette. Following the trailer release for this movie, Rihanna unexpectedly unveiled a new single titled “Friend of Mine.” This cheerful, synth-driven track appears tailor-made for kid-oriented dance events, surprising fans who were eager to hear any new music from her. There’s a strong possibility that “Friend of Mine” could become this summer’s hit club anthem, or at least a catchy tune that kids won’t be able to get out of their heads after watching the movie, which is slated for release in July 2025.
