Walton Goggins’ wife addresses relationship rumors with Aimee Lou Wood

Nadia Conners, Walton Goggins‘ spouse, has spoken up about the rumors swirling around their relationship with Aimee Lou Wood, Walton’s co-star on White Lotus.

In the third season of the popular HBO show, a 53-year-old actor and a 31-year-old British actress played an older-younger romantic pairing. Unfortunately, their characters experienced a tragic ending in the final episode.

This year, speculation about the nature of their real-life relationship arose due to their captivating screen interaction and frequent appearances on each other’s social media platforms.

It seems that earlier there were whispers of a conflict or disagreement between Goggins and Wood, but it appears those disputes have since been resolved or put aside.

Regarding the speculations about their romantic relationships, Walton’s spouse shared her perspective in a recent conversation with Hello! Magazine.

The director commented to the media outlet, “It’s surprising yet telling that so many are drawn to this fictional character. To me, it signifies his growing popularity.

Walton and Nadia tied the knot back in 2011 and are also parents to a son named Augustus, 14. 

This past April, the final episode of the recently-aired season of The White Lotus featured John Goggins as the character Rick. Accompanied by his younger partner, Chelsea (played by Aimee), they visited the White Lotus resort in Thailand.

The two celebrities hopped onto Instagram to reminisce about their experience on the program, and they also offered warm greetings to one another.

Wood posted a monochrome snapshot capturing the duo walking along a road, accompanied by the caption, “A match made in heaven.” (This implies that the scene is a beautiful coincidence or a perfect combination, similar to ‘the perfect storm’.)

In a natural, easy-to-understand manner, the actor from Django Unchained additionally posted a variety of backstage photos featuring himself alongside Aimee.

The actor penned a heartfelt message for his fans, saying, “Rick and Chelsea… In my eyes, it was a beautiful love tale.

The tale was essentially a love narrative, burdened by unhealed wounds from early life experiences. Such scars are common among us… yet, can we transcend them? Amidst our darkest moments, there’s always radiance waiting to be discovered nearby.

Instead of adding, if we allow ourselves to endure our pain, to simply remain still without responding or letting it shape us, that pain exists… Yet, the love the universe offers at every instant is also present. It’s always ready for us to perceive it… Believe me, I have experienced this truth myself.

Walton later added, ‘Thank you Aimee Lou for being my partner… a journey I will never forget…’ 

Yet, rumors of a supposed ‘feud’ between the celebrities surfaced as they appeared to have stopped following one another on Instagram.

A Saturday Night Live caricature subsequently poked fun at Aimee’s teeth and Manchester dialect, a style that Wood had previously criticized as harsh and humorless. Several days after this, she was photographed appearing visibly emotional during a public appearance in London.

1. The sketch similarly poked fun at The White Lotus, with Goggins expressing his admiration through laughter, exclaiming: “Hahahahahhahaha Amazzzingggg.”

2. The skit took aim at The White Lotus in a humorous way, and Goggins showed his appreciation by bursting out laughing and saying: “Hahahahahhahaha Amazzzingggg.”

3. The sketch mimicked The White Lotus in a comical fashion, earning praise from Goggins who laughed and said: “Hahahahahhahaha Amazzzingggg.”

4. The skit playfully imitated The White Lotus, receiving kudos from Goggins as he chuckled and exclaimed: “Hahahahahhahaha Amazzzingggg.”

5. The sketch parodied The White Lotus in a lighthearted manner, causing Goggins to express his approval with laughter and the comment: “Hahahahahhahaha Amazzzingggg.”

In simpler terms, SNL (Saturday Night Live) and Sarah Sherman, the actress who played Aimee in the sketch, have offered an apology to both the actress they portrayed and to Sarah Sherman herself. Additionally, as a gesture of goodwill, Sarah Sherman sent flowers.

In a conversation with Vanity Fair recently, Sherman expressed his enthusiasm about playing the role, as it’s so emblematic, and its significance is undeniable. Moreover, he clarified that he never intended to cause any distress or discomfort to anyone.

I’ve never imagined that my foray into comedy would cause distress to anyone. It saddens me deeply if it does.

Sarah clarified to the media outlet that there’s a significant risk involved when engaging in discussions about current trends in pop culture.

Occasionally, you might not fully grasp your impact, yet due to being involved in a production that interacts with culture, politics, and current trends, you find yourself constantly engaging with them.

Audience members found themselves pondering the relationship between Walton and Aimee, as he visibly exited an interview with The Times multiple times when the actress was mentioned.

He informed the publication, ‘I won’t engage in that discussion. There’s nothing to discuss regarding that matter.’

On May 5th this month, both celebrities graced the 2025 Met Gala, yet they didn’t meet each other on the red carpet.

During the very same week, it was Goggins who graced the stage on SNL, yet neither he nor his fellow actor were acknowledged in words, and there was no sudden, unannounced visit from her.

During an interview with Entertainment Tonight at the Met Gala, she was questioned about potentially appearing in a guest role on the satirical comedy show alongside Walton.

The actress expressed that she wasn’t able to comment on certain matters, and also made clear that she wasn’t involved in what was depicted, but she confirmed her appearance on the show, as it offered an enjoyable experience and working with Walton was a delightful memory.

It appeared she quelled the ongoing speculation about their disagreement when she disclosed that she had recently spent time with Goggins.

Aimee mentioned, “I ran into him just two days back,” she added, “Since then, we haven’t had a chance for a thorough catch-up. Whenever we meet, it’s always too quick.

Looking forward to meeting him tonight since our last encounter was brief a few days back, and there’s so much to catch up on – like finishing off the download of all the episodes and diving deeper into Rick and Chelsea’s entire story now that we’ve watched it in its entirety. Time always seems to fly by.

Walton and Aimee have also since started following each other on social media once again.

In a chat with Radio Times, Walton has been open about encountering ‘differences of opinion’ while collaborating with Nadia.

Initially, the transition proved quite challenging for a few days! As fellow Scorpios, we’re known for our independence and strong-willed nature. Each of us has our own distinct views on various topics, as he pointed out.

In a different phrasing: ‘She held the director role, and I followed her instructions as I would any other director. However, when I had differences of opinion, I needed to voice my disagreements for the sake of my story. Yet, we eventually found a mutual understanding, and stopped taking things on a personal level.’
