“Fiendish” British crime drama confirmed for second series ahead of the first even airing

The upcoming British crime drama titled “Bookish” has already been granted a second season even before its debut on air.

1946 serves as the backdrop for a fresh TV series titled “U&Alibi.” In this production, Mark Gatiss embodies the role of Gabriel Book, a knowledgeable antiquarian bookseller who assists the police in resolving complex cases with his vast intellectual resources.

In an era where being openly gay was forbidden, I found myself, much like the captivating character Book, in a unique relationship – a ‘lavender marriage’ – with my cherished friend Trottie.

He expressed his excitement about being given another chance to revisit the realm of ‘Bookish’ by the U&alibi crew, where he can concoct even trickier mysteries that Gabriel Book and his team will have to unravel.

I’m eagerly looking forward to the moment when our world comes alive on screen for everyone, which will happen as soon as the initial series premieres within the next couple of months.

Additionally starring in the show are Daniel Mays from Line of Duty, Paul McGann known for Doctor Who, Michael Workéyè hailing from Black Mirror, Joely Richardson who appeared in One Day, Jacob Fortune-Lloyd seen in The Queen’s Gambit, Jonas Nay famous for The Tattooist of Auschwitz, and Luke Norris, a cast member of Poldark.

In the initial series, we find three interconnected narratives, with each tale unfolding across a pair of episodes. Steven Moffat collaborated on scripting the program alongside Matthew Sweet and Ian Hallard.
