All the teased Spirit Blossom skins in Xin Zhao’s motion comic

If you’re a fan of the storyline behind League of Legends or the Spirit Blossom character designs, make sure to check out the newly released Xin Zhao animated comic, accessible right within the game interface.

The recently released Xin Zhao motion comic reveals significant storyline advancements and hints at various Spirit Blossom skins that will be coming soon. These skins are predicted to debut alongside Act II, slated for release on June 25th.

Xin Zhao’s motion comic

In the game client, you can now enjoy a motion comic featuring Xin Zhao, delving into a segment of his personal tale. As a child, Xin Zhao was kidnapped by Noxian soldiers and compelled to forsake his native land to serve their empire. This upheaval left him wrestling with an identity dilemma. Later, when Noxus succumbed to Jarvan III’s dominion, he was liberated by the king. The king’s compassion stirred Xin Zhao’s loyalty. However, as he grapples with his past and seeks self-discovery, Xin Zhao is confronted with internal strife, trying to understand who he truly represents.

Teased Spirit Blossom skins

The motion comic provides a brief glimpse into the forthcoming Spirit Blossom outfits for League of Legends characters. Some are shown prominently, while others are subtly concealed. Included in this group is Yunara, the upcoming champion of League of Legends, who appears in her shrine form. During a chat with Kennen, Xin Zhao mentions that he frequently recalls her during his time among the Demacians.

I’m stoked! It’s officially confirmed that I, Yunara, am the next ADC joining the ranks. The action kicks off in Act II, starting June 25th. And just like any other newcomer, I’ll be stepping into the game with a special skin – a Spirit Blossom one, to be exact!

Spirit Blossom Hwei

In Act II, it’s been officially confirmed that the character Hwei will acquire a Spirit Blossom skin. This revelation follows the prestige Spirit Blossom Lux skin, which players can already obtain via the battle pass. The brief appearance of Hwei suggests his upcoming inclusion in the series. However, whether he’ll be included in the next Battle Pass or made available for purchase separately remains unclear at this time. For now, fans can rejoice as Hwei is finally set to receive a second skin since his initial release in December 2023.

Exalted Spirit Blossom Morgana

In the Xin Zhao motion comic, Morgana is absent. Yet, earlier in the season, it was announced that she would be the next character to receive an Exalted skin. Riot Games even gave us a sneak peek at her design through Spirit Blossom artwork. On one side of the image, there’s Morgana as portrayed in the season trailer, and on the other, a more intricate depiction of her upcoming Exalted skin.

Kennen, Xin Zhao, and Shen

Although Spirit Blossom skins haven’t been confirmed for either Kennen or Xin Zhao in the motion comic, some fans speculate that Xin Zhao’s main focus this season may suggest an upcoming rework, but there’s no definitive statement yet. As Xin Zhao debuted in 2010, it’s possible he could benefit from a fresh, more refined design.

In the comic, Kennen appears to have aged significantly, highlighting his ancient yordle lineage. He consistently hides his face beneath masks in his different costumes. Additionally, Kennen makes reference to Shen who is momentarily glimpsed in the trailer; however, it remains uncertain whether Shen will acquire a new skin.
