Kate Garraway, the presenter on Good Morning Britain, temporarily paused the broadcast to share significant, recently developed information concerning one of her fellow co-stars.
At the beginning of today’s show, Charlotte Hawkins was concluding a segment when the regular co-host, Kate, interrupted the proceedings to acknowledge a notable event.
She announced some significant news, right here in the studio, about someone who was born exactly on this day in 1975 – Charlotte Mary Hawkins.
To celebrate Charlotte’s 50th birthday, the show displayed some adorable childhood photos of her.
Kate replied with a smile, “Wow, aren’t they adorable? I wasn’t surprised either. They certainly do look charming, don’t they?” This was in response to Charlotte asking where she had found them.

Kate jokingly remarked, “Even those closest to you have deceived you,” then shared that twenty-four years afterward, Charlotte started her professional journey in the media industry.
In response to the replayed video, co-presenter Adil Ray jokingly commented, “Goodness gracious! It seems like you’ve aged significantly; you appear to be 65 years old in that clip!
“I was trying to look grown up, like a newsreader,” Charlotte added.
Kate reminisced about the fact that her co-star started working on Good Morning Britain in 2014, as she offered a heartfelt homage to her teammate, expressing: “She has been exceptional, and we’ve cherished having her with us all this time.

Adil added: “A huge happy 50th birthday to our very own Dame Charlotte Hawkins!”
Weather presenter Laura Tobin then brought a cake into the studio as the party mood kicked off.
Charlotte joked, ‘I’m approaching middle age, a fact my daughter is keen on reminding me,’ as she graciously received the cake and flowers. She told me last night, ‘How will it feel to be fifty?’ It gave me a new perspective. But I want to express my deep gratitude to everyone here.
Good Morning Britain airs weekdays at 6am on ITV1.
