This story revolves around the mysterious vanishing of a Filipino nanny named Ruby. Neighbor Cecilie suspects there’s something ominous at play, and together with her fellow nanny Angel, they delve into uncovering the truth as whispers spread and unease mounts.

In contrast, the investigation into the disappearance of the foreign national isn’t high on the police’s list of priorities, and the novice detective, Aicha, could really use some help, as the plot unfolds.

Cecilie and Angel are prepared to assist, and as time goes on, the power dynamics and advantages within these elegant residences become more apparent. However, Cecilie’s dedication to revealing the truth is challenged when Ruby’s disappearance points to links extending into Cecilie’s own family.

She’s compelled to reassess her hidden weaknesses, viewing her family and the surroundings where she nurtures her kids from a fresh perspective.
