Yet, it appeared that Halle may have violated the festival’s contentious new regulations, given her floor-length dress showcased a streamlined black bodice, an expansive plaid pink skirt, and a long black trail.

In a stylish touch, the actress who played Catwoman elevated her figure with a pair of sharp, black high heels adorned with diamond-studded ankle straps.

She further elevated the glamorous red carpet ensemble with a dazzling diamond statement necklace. 

To finish off her ensemble, she arranged her short, wavy brown bob hairstyle and donned a glowing makeup look.

After disclosing that she had to alter her chosen attire at the eleventh hour because of stringent new regulations against revealing outfits, her debut on the red carpet takes place. This is in reference to the Film Festival’s opening ceremony.

The actress often leaves people speechless due to her beauty, and she made a bold move by wearing nothing underneath her dress at the Met Gala just a few days ago.

However, during the beginning of this year’s festivities, which commenced with their grand opening on Tuesday, Halle admitted that she needed to rethink her chosen attire due to its extended train, as it violated the latest regulations set by the festival.

Actress who played Catwoman was queried about suggestions for a woman to portray James Bond, given that the rights to the series have been purchased by Amazon.

Halle firmly expressed her doubts about having a female Bond character, stating, “I’m not certain that the role of 007 would truly fit a woman.

In 2025, it sounds pleasant to express, “Oh, she should be a woman,” but in truth, I’m uncertain if I agree with that approach.

This year, the star is part of a prestigious group that includes Juliette Binoche and Jeremy Strong, serving on the Cannes Jury.

‘This is a huge honour to be asked to be a part of this jury,’ Halle added.

In addition to the traditional little black dresses, formal cocktail attire, pantsuits, fancy blouses, and refined sandals (either with or without a heel) are acceptable as well.

It’s uncertain whether French TV broadcasters, cautious about showing nudity, might have influenced the initial application of this stricter policy.

Significant high-profile events such as the Cannes Film Festival are broadcasted on French television by France Television.

Lately, the yearly event has been drawing in a greater number of models and influencers rather than actors and movie creators. This shift has led to a rise in bold and daring fashion choices on the red carpet.

In the year 2021, renowned American model Bella Hadid showcased her décolletage in a deep-necklined black dress at a showing of Tre Piani (Three Floors).
